Pure strength is great if there's another Tank to draw aggro off. Otherwise the 2H warrior with low dex can get ripped to shreds even in the best of armors if surrounded because of threat generated by high damage and talents like 2H sweep.
Good two-handed warrior build?

Do whatever you like. If you wish to min/max or “power game” a two-handed weapon warrior, then by all means feed that strength stat like it’s a wounded Mabari and the only way to keep it alive is to feed it 3 attribute points every level up. If you wish to “roleplay” a two-handed weapon warrior, upgrading as you see fit for the Warden you’ve created and how they develop in the story, then go for it. Ultimately, it’s your single-player game. What matters is that you’ve enjoyed your game and your Warden.
I won’t try to argue what is “best” or “most effective” for a two-handed weapon warrior as plenty of guides already exist that can help with that. In my experience, warriors focusing on two-handed weapons will have a lower defense than sword-and-board, archer, or dual-wielding warriors and so need a bit more support or help to stay alive, especially when surrounded. Then again, the two-handed build requires the least amount of dexterity: their talents don’t have the kind of minimum dex reqs the other three have. Plus, a high strength benefits a warrior in a number of ways, such as making one’s powerful attacks connect or best an opponent’s physical resistance check against two-handed talents. One the first page, termokanden said two-handers are “late bloomers” and, at least in my experience, that’s true.
As for the debate about constitution and willpower, there are enough items for a party of four that boost health, mana/stamina, or even combat stamina/mana regeneration rate, that putting points into those stats can generally be avoided unless necessary (e.g. a Blood Mage build). I might consider putting points into willpower or constitution if I installed the Poison and Poultice (and Holy Smite) mod. But it’s still easy to make loads of potions to balance a low constitution or willpower. That mod’s true worth is it makes poison coatings last longer and makes Holy Smite scale off of strength instead of willpower. But I’m getting off topic. Happy gaming!
