Game launches, intro vid plays, but..

The game gets stuck at the "Press Any Button" screen. After the intro video plays, the "press any button" screens starts to show up, but it starts skipping very slowly. Like it's buffering or something. Then it'll just halt after two skips and I'm forced to kill the me3 .exe in task manager.

The game was fine the last time I played..Which was about 2 weeks ago or so. Tried to get on today and all this happens.I've repaired the install, didn't work. Re-installed the game completely and it didn't work.

Any ideas?

Oh. The only thing I changed since I last played was my anti-virus, I think. It's AVG Internet Security now. Maybe it's bogging it down? I can't find out how to turn it completely off to check. All other games I play seem to be fine, however. So I just don't know.

It could be the update to Origin, try starting the game from the start menu, or if you have a shortcut on your desktop, supposedly that works, if this is the same problem. I don't know if that is the problem or not, I haven't experienced it, but there are a couple other threads about it here.

Unfortunately, when I reinstalled the game, I didn't have it create desktop or start menu locations. So yeah. lol I did launch it from the /Binaries/Win32 folder and the same thing still happened. I seen people talk about their game not launching correctly. Nothing pops up, but the .exe is running. Or it crashed upon launch or on intro vid for them. I didn't feel my issue was quite the same, but it could still be related, I suppose.

Thanks, though. I guess I'll just wait around for an update or patch of some kind.
