If your having issues with your online profile, for example, failing to delete a character, use your browser refresh button at every stage, like this:
click online storage from within the game, the main profile loads in your browser, hit refresh
click on manage characters, the manage characters page loads, hit refresh
click on the delete character button, the page reloads and appears not to have changed, hit refresh
at this point the character should be gone.
same principle for deleteing screenshots or whatever.
Other possible solutions that I have not tried:
deleting some or all bioware/EA/dragon age cookies.
clearing browser cache.
using a different browser.

IMPORTANT NOTE: deleting a character should be a last resort, read this post for an explanation:

EDIT 2:
hitting refresh also includes error pages, even ones that say things like fatal error.
