Hence, screw the Darkspawn. They're a belligerent horde who've had their day, their plans haven't changed in millenia, why would they now?

while there is no scene there is common sense and intelligence.  you seem to not know of either.

He had his ribs crushed...and it showed the darkspawn swinging the bladed edge at him.

he is dead.  anyone with any intelligence can figure that out without having to see some cutscene.

I swear people grab at the dumbest things just for a reason to post some stupid "theory" or "what if"

I'd totally go for a steampunk Dragon Age. But they would have to give the guy who voiced Avernus a major role, that voice practically demands a dapper smoking jacket, top hat and monocle.

I disagree with the OP's theory, I'll admit I find it to be nothing more than wish fulfillment. But I won't insult him, by cutting out the actual death scene it is "possible" for Duncan to survive. But I think it is quite obvious that his death was being heavily implied and it just doesn't make sense for him to have survived all of this time.



Duncan's time was near anyways, I rather he died in battle instead of being captured and becoming a dark spawn.
