I think it would actually be impossible to fail this challenge.

They'll probably slash xp/credits or something like that.
Or perhaps they'll remove JEP's and PSP's

Don't worry man. We got this.

Yeah, I think it'll be easy. But the only reason we failed last weeek was because they bumped it from one mil to three. Surely they'll do something similar to one of these challenges eventually.

To answer your question, suspend the ability for players to promote for a period of time?
That wouldn't be much of a punishment.
Except if you want to respec and you're out of reset power cards or something.

draw their fire and attention. Put them on the defensive! Buy us time,
and the reinforcements in training will soon back you up.
My thoughts would be that if you fail the mission (I won't be able to join you I have exams that are a 4 hour train ride away from my Xbox) that there will probably be a significant decrease in the % chance of drawing a new character from packs. It would make logical sense to me if they Reapers are targeting your training centers and killing your recruits off and you fail to draw them away there are going to be less recruits to go around right? So less chance of drawing New character cards. (I still reckon you will get spammed with Character cards just not Cerberus or Vorcha)

Enjoy Banshee's in firebase white, geth gold while you're promoting your characters.
It's easy folks, embrace that sweet, sweet N7 ranking.

But I think people should consider that the previous challenge was set intentionally too high in order for us to fail as a set up/connection for the upcoming DLC and this week's challenge.

Since when did gamers have to worried about being punished for not doing what a retailer wanted us to do..............I graduated high school already lol. I understand it makes the game more challenging but to some of us who have jobs, kids, class, and dare I say a life, we can't always keep up with these operations. This is literally the first game I've ever played online with and actually enjoyed but if I'm going to start getting punishment for making a made up goal why play lol?
Its not really a punishment like they are going to come to your house and kick your dog and put hair in the shower drain. How many people are complaining about Banshees randomly spawning? Most posters here have thought it was pretty cool. More of a new challenge than a punishment.

The forums will be awash with traumatic posts such as:
I thought I'd made a new friend, a really nice AA, and then she pulled out a sniper rifle - I feel dirty
and
I got beaten by a Lvl 2 Soldier but I really think he was lying and is level 20
or
Then on wave 7 someone asked on the mic "Whats a biotic explosion anyway"?
Dark days my friends, dark days
