Simply "yes" (with link please) or "no" will suffice. ^^ Thanks in advance.
Optional rant, please just ignore:
Today I started my second playthrough of ME3 and I noticed three very odd things: 1.) When I shoot into glass I can watch the decals vanishing right in front of me. 2.) Corpses are vanishing in seconds. 3.) When I play like a sniper, meaning I pic off enemies as the farthest range possible, dropped amunition is GONE before I can reach it. I ended up with my sniper rifle empty and no ammo. The next fight I had to rely on my handgun. Great!
Of course I understand that it is out of the question to introduce special PC features in any of the ME-games. The consoles are the lead-platform, and any feature you'd introduce as an exclusive PC-feature could possible hurt console sales and would also double the effort in terms of debugging and patching. It's much easier with one version for everyone.
BUT: Bioware introduced the Coalesced.ini as a central configuration file, fusing the numerous files of ME into one. With this "tool" many basic settings of the game could - in theory - be changed for the PC audience. Longer decal lifetime, slower corpse cleanup and ammunition that does not vanish into thin air before you can reach it.
The possibilities are there, but Bioware ignores them and also forbids us to use them. Why?
