I have to admit, when EDI first emerged out of the smoke... I thought hmmmm, a new interesting romance option for old Shep. Alas, Jeff had his talons in her right away which was fine.
If in fact she was an option, would you have gone for it? No stranger the Tali. Would have made the Red ending even more difficult to choose.
EDI as a LI... would you?

That would be an instant confrontation from Joker and an even more hostile one if Shep told Joker and/or EDI to forget a relationship between them. If Shep couldn't talk Joker down, I say -TMS for a poor, heartbroken piloting performance during Priority: Earth.

Leaked script != cannon. In the cerberus base you now just hear him surprised at her being called EDI.
I dunno about EDI as a romance. She is too maliable of a character in ME3. Besides her obcession with jokes and loyalty to crew... not much else is really 'her'.

And frankly, I'd like BW to try and fix the exsisting LI's that they shafted (Thane, Jacob, Miranda, Kelly etc) before making up new ones. JMO, though.

Not with that body. But seeing as technically she's not a 'she' at all, if EDI had alternate voice options a la Planet Express Ship and came in a male body, I might think about it. Hey, it's not like we straight gals have a lot of alternatives.
