Hello everyone.

Recently I bought a new PC and have have an issue with ME2. After I start the game and get the message that I'm not connected to Cerberus Network (or/and after it shows that I'm connected), a window pops out and says that ME2 stopped working.

My pc specs:
Msi GT70 (it's a laptop)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel Core i7-3610QM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M
12GB Ram

So my PC is way too good for ME2 and ME3 will work without problem on the highest settings. I just don't know what's wrong. I have ALL DLCs, I didn't install Genesis cause it's pretty useless for me. ;) I turned off UAC but the problem still occurs. The thing is, I can play the game but sometimes I get this error, ONLY when I start the game. This error never occurs when I'm playing the game, even for 6h+. Sometimes game just works without problem, sometimes I have to turn the game on like 10 times before the message stops appearing. I run the highest graphical settings. Any idea what might cause the problem? I've read a bit and people mentioned something about Shadow Broker bugging the game and motion blur... Any ideas?

PS: Game is updated and my Win7 is completely updated as well.

Today I even had a blue screen of death. Has anyone any idea what might cause this problem? :(

It only happens when I turn on the game and press "OK" to the disconnection of cerberus network. Once my game works, it keeps on working flawlessly, but this problem is really annoying now, cause I'm having a hardtime gettin saves for ME3....

Do you have this problem with any other games? Blue screen errors related to gaming instances always make me suspect a bad power supply for the video card.

No, only ME2.

Other games - Skyrim, Diablo 3, Tera Online, Aion, both Dragon Ages, Assassins Creed, ME1 are working without problems (on full graphics I might add). For ME1 I had to change the compability though.

ME3 sometimes stops working when I turn it on (getting that annoying window), but otherwise it works flawlessly.

Same for ME2, it works flawlessly once it's turned on. Turning it on is another story though...

It's a brand new laptop... a "gaming laptop". :/ It's what is annoying me, how can it be a hardware issue when this thing is like 3 weeks old? It's a laptop, it's not like I can change the power supply by myself...

Edit: https://help.ea.com/...g-mass-effect-2 ... Hmmm it's weird, but EACore.dll, EACoreServer.exe and EACoreApp.ini are nowehere to be found in my ME2 files.

It's some sort of problem with the network card configuration. If you use WiFi, you won't have the problem. I also have this problem.

The OP was posted without much in the way of basic information. It could be almost anything. And if there's ever a BSOD, and the gamer just lets it happen without backtracking it, that's just ignorant, really. The default automatic reboot is a dumb setting to be reset right away after any Windows install. You NEED to know what triggered the event, and the Blue Screen page tells you that information, which you then pop into a Search (Google, Yahoo, whatever).

It's been quite a few months and I noticed that when the internet is off, this thing NEVER happens. Same for ME3, if I set Origin into offline mode I never get that stupid "error"... So ya, it's obviously something with the internet connection. My PC has all those fancy stuff enhancing the internet connection, it might be it...
