So I feel like I am the only one who didn't really have a problem with the ending.
I did at first but after my second playthrough I put things together and now don't have a problem with it.
Is there anyone else who liked the ending or at least didn't have a problem with it?
Also don't turn this fourm inot some sort of hate thread for the ending and no IT stuuf I mean if the ending was left as it was.

I think there were like 5 people here at one point who liked the ending. But we drove them out of the forums with our pitchforks and torches while trying to find those responsible for the content we got.

Most got scared by the question.
"What did you enjoy about the ending?"

I have a friend who likes the ending, but he smokes weed a lot so I think he might have been high while seeing it which messed with his understanding of it all.

I liked it.

To put things simply: Green = what Saren wanted, Blue = what TIM wanted, and Red = what Anderson wanted.

I can see why, that's a tough question.
I suppose I just didn't find anything wrong with it.

I don't really like the ending but I can live with it, but I do hate the scene with the Normandy and Synthesis/Green ending didn't make any sense to me.

Apart from the music and the conversation with Anderson, there's not a single redeeming feature.

Glad someone doesn't have a problem, everyone I know is the same boat as me, and I'm the only one bothering to go on the forums.

The past few months have essentially been nothing but threads on the ending. If you want a really thorough perspective on people's opinions about the end, you should do a search for some of the main megathreads that are a few thousand pages in length. They're...comprehensive.

Yes a substantial amount of people liked the ending. I'm very surprised you haven't seen any of them (I suspect you have and are just intentionally forgetting). That said, they are certainly in the minority.

I would have been more accepting of the ending if it ended with Shepard going down, firing his last shot and spitting in a reaper's face, than what we got. I'd actually still believe he's a hero. Everything just seems out of control and mystical in the end.

As long as I take it with a pound of salt, I can endeavor to not hate the endings. I just have to make a boat load of assumptions in order to remotely accept the ending. I found it easier and more palatable to head-canon my own alternate view. I suppose you could make the same for anyone who touts an alternative to the endings, whether it's IT, ST, or whatever.

I've just recently gotten into the Mass Effect series, so for the past two months I've been loading up on anything Mass Effect in my free time.  I played Mass Effect 1-3 back to back, but before I finished on my infiltrator, I started over on a Vanguard and played all three all the way through. In fact, I just finished Mass Effect 3 about five minutes ago.

Seeing all the fans of the games negative remarks about the game had me worried, partially why I started another play through before the ending. I was afraid of the great disappointment that awaited me, but today I decided to push through for the finish.

I honestly feel that the game had a very appropriate ending, and I loved it. Never before have I played a game that had such an emotional impact on me, and by the end I was in tears. I don't care if others disagree or start flaming me because of my opinion. Really, I don't care if they all start raging because I refuse to see things from their point of view. Bioware created a great ending to this trilogy, and in my opinion, the best ending to a game's story I have ever experienced. I just hope that there are more Mass Effect stories to come.

Anyone who bashes you for having an opinion is an idiot, regardless of which side of the fence they're on. I loathe the ending for reasons stated in countless threads over countless weeks, but if someone else enjoyed the ending, I'm cool with that. Not that my opinion, or anyone elses, should bare any weight on your own.

Got to agree that all three had a huge emotional impact on me.

Well, this is the internet after all. You never know who's going to come out of the woodwork waving a shotgun and telling everyone why they are of the correct opinion. Despite our difference in opinion of the ending, thanks for not waving a shotgun. :P

Hey. I haven't seen many arguments FOR the ending on here. I can pretty much understand how you could like it, except for the Catalyst.

What is it about that character that you particularly thought worked as the end of the trilogy? It sounds like a troll, I know, but it's not, I want to see the opposing opinion to my own.

the ending doesn't bother me so much because the whole game is an ending, it is the end of everything
and i was emotional all the way through, i'm actually surprised no one has attacked you yet, probably because the forums are (strangely) dead today

"I did at first"

You had a problem with it at first. You think it is fine now that you've gone back and tried to fill in the holes yourself. That, however, is your headcanon.

This is another "I liked it but ..." opinion. You are not alone in that.

Why did I like the catalyst?
I thought he made sense in that he could see what was happening and in his eyes did the right thing to preserve organic life.
I just get the idea of what they're doing and why and the catalyst just makes sure that this happens by controlling them.

No I like it know.
The truth is I played it the first time and then read about why people hated it and though "oh yeah that is wierd".
However after playing through it with the story I like it.

The ending parts were confusing and I did not care for them, but the part that made me HATE the ending was the Joker/Normandy crash scene. That infuriated me because it made no sense what so ever.

All they had to do to make the ending "palatable" was to give an epilogue scene after Shep makes his choice, cut the Normandy scene and the "Shep lives." If they ended it on hope for the galaxy, not the Joker running away and stranding the crew, most of us would not be here right now.
