The only person I know who liked the ending is my son, who got me into playing Mass Effect a couple of years ago before he left for uni, me being a total Splinter Cell and Call of Duty nut, I fell in love especially with ME1,
He pestered me to finish quickly so we could talk about it, I was too numb to talk!
He thought it was WOW! but then (sorry have to mention) he is convinced in IT.
Thinks its Casey Hudson's finger to EA and he saw IT from the start with the boy in the shaft and thinks the best is yet to come..... he is a believer! and I want to be.
I played through two and a half times can't bear to carry on because of the end,it just got worse with the playthroughs.

Forgive me if you find this insulting, but put in your shoes I think I'd have pulled a Hank Hill at that moment "that boy ain't right"

Honestly the only problems I have with the endings are

1. Starbrat's logic and Shep's willingness to bend to his will.
2. Joker running away suddenly and teleporting squadmates.

I think there were like 5 people here at one point who liked the ending. But we drove them out of the forums with our pitchforks and torches while trying to find those responsible for the content we got.

Most got scared by the question.
"What did you enjoy about the ending?"

I can see why, that's a tough question.
I suppose I just didn't find anything wrong with it.

The answer to your question lyes in the EC, Bioware is going to attempt to fill polt holes but not change ending,

At that point fans will either
a) Like space magic.
or
B) Dislike ending.

the only thing I dislike is the stuff with joker.

Every thing else i liked, the Relays blowing up was the best way to cap of the series.

EDIT: to those still saying "Space magic" like it makes you so clever, its the damn reaper indoctrination signal amplified by the Crucible, thats how it can create synthisis

I enjoyed it, despite some of the odd plot holes at the end that made me twist my face unnaturally.

Nothing wrong with liking it, but they are few and far between.

that and the giant rocket launcher the angry one was pointing at them

Man, I hate that rocket launcher.... And it hasn't even been pointed directly at me yet. :D

Yes, there are those of us who liked the ending. I actually really liked the ending, and the more I think about it and read about it, the more I like it. However, I don't know that it was a good ending, and definitely think the presentation could use some work. If you fail to convey your message to the majority of your target audience, you're doing something wrong. Though... that makes some presumptions about who BioWare saw as their target audience.

As webhead921 pointed out, the Pro-Ending Compendium is a good place to look if you want to see stuff from others who enjoyed the endings. There's a link in my sig, as well. And I think you'll find several posters there actually do address the question, "What did you enjoy about the ending?"

But we get tired of repeating ourselves, and in the end, it's kind of a matter of taste and opinion.

I think my game was damaged really badly... must have been corrupted or missing data files because my ending was incomplete.... i'm still trying to figure out how most of it makes sense... I keep cross referancing most of it with the other games... you know... stuff that the Catalyst said which doesn't fit with what Sovereign said. Things like how the Catalyst dosn't just lock down the relays... but oh well I guess the keepers don't listen to the signal of the citadel anyway...

Whats that Harby? oh yeah I forgot about that....

Harbinger just reminded me that the Reapers aren't capable of controlling a persons body untill their indoctrinated.

I don't mind it... The last two episodes of Evangelion was more disappointing, in my opinion...
It could have been explained better, though. I'd try to understand it, but my singleplayer wont even load. Piece of crap...

Anyone who claims to like the ending is either stupid or on Bioware's payroll. Killing the latter is business. Killing the former is a favor to the universe.

The logic of the ending isn't entirely unacceptable, but a sudden shift of main theme right at the end is bad writing and extremely disappointing.

Yes, I understand technology singularity, but no, I don't care and I don't want to care about it here, I don't like it being suddenly brought up, I don't like the deus ex machina that brings it up, I don't like it overwrites the main theme of Shepard vs Reapers, Shepard uniting the galaxy, Shepard and the squad.

Plus a bunch of plotholes. Someone said it's "an ending that makes you think." No. The more you think the weirder the ending gets.

I liked the ending enough - I just had higher expectations for the quality of the story.

Ign liked the ending...

No I didn't like the ending as it stands at the moment when taken literally. Neither do I like people who criticise other people's opinions without moderating their own bias

I liked it.

To put things simply: Green = what Saren wanted, Blue = what TIM wanted, and Red = what Anderson wanted.

Pink - Ending never made -  what femShepherd wanted
Autumn Sunrise - ending never made - what mailShepherd wanted
Fuchsia - ending never made - what Jessica Chobot wanted
Brown - what happens when you put the current endings in a Blender

I actually did like the ending, here's why (warning kinda long and rambly), I can understand why others didn't, and it's by no means perfect, but I found it enjoyable.

I liked it.

It took me some effort to piece together stuff (see my sig for a link on the Catalyst's logic) but I have come to appreciate what I believe it was trying to be.

I think IT people also like the ending if their theory turns out to be right. There are a few other ideas floating around on the forums as well, but it basically seems to be how you interpret it all.

I liked the ending a lot actually but that was because I predicted the ending was more than meets the eye. I suspected I was being tricked and the ending was presented as a puzzle of sorts. Moreover, the ending felt very dreamlike.

Definition of Crucible 2: a severe test.

I also suspected that there was going to be some sort of dlc that explains the ending.

I liked it, but that's because I enjoyed having some blanks to fill in for myself. I preferred not having everything spelled out for me, but it seems that Handhold The Line is the more prevalent view here.

Jess Chobot liked it. She said it on Twitter.
