Jess Chobot liked it. She said it on Twitter.

I have to ask. Are you the same person who made all those Mass Effect related songs?

If so, I have to say that I really like your work and the fact that you experiment a lot in your songs and that you make the songs about games.

I didn't like the ending(even if you go and face the Reapers with 2 ships you go on the Citadel, talk to the Catalist and make your choice) but I think that Mass Effect 3 is a great game. I really enjoyed the Romance options(I romanced Tali so I found the missions on Rannoch and on the Geth dreadnought the most interesting also for the unique dialogues) and I really liked the story and the multiplayer. I don't understand people who think Bioware made a mistake with Mass Effect 3 just for the ending.

I liked the ending. A number of people liked the ending, in fact, and some of them went to great lenghts to defend it. Check the Pro-Ending Compendium for a list of threads and articles on the subject.

No, we didn't. We replied to several threads with this exact question, the most prolific of which  are listed at the Compendium.

But, in all fairness, this have been the only topic here since the game launch. A lot of people must have gotten tired of this discussion. (I know I have). Maybe that's why they stopped speaking their minds.

I personally felt strangely neutral about the ending, which is too bad because I loved most of the game. Right now I'm just waiting for the EC to come out, because the main thing that made me go meh was the complete and utter vagueness during the last few minutes. I'm perfectly willing to swallow Bioware's "controversial" ending but the EC's clarification will be necessary. When it arrives, hopefully I'll be able to judge it better.

It's more of a good amount of people like the concepts...but felt it either needed more (epilogue) and that there are plotholes needed to be fixed. Ala Extended Cut.
It was only till after the "take Back ME3" and "hold the line" became so big that we see a lot of people who wanted a complete redo of the ending.
Some want IT and ONLY IT to be true.
It has gotten very complicated over the months on who likes what. People who do like it always say that the extended cut is a good thing and that they should keep the concept of the ending still there, and I agree. I felt it was just executed badly.

people want an ending where sheppard wont acept the catalyst options and do something it wouldnt expect

Ya know (and maybe I've missed those answers)..

But I've yet to see anyone that supports the ending actually answer that question with specifics.

& for the Op.. Simply No.

Nothing I can say that hasn't been said already by those above.

I liked that I could make everyone a bit like Sheppard with the synthesis ending. Let's face it, Shepp is basically like the perfect human being (if you went paragon) and now everyone is a bit more like him. The future looks bright.

I liked that I become the God of the Reapers in the control ending. Who's your daddy now harbringer?

I liked that I got closure for EDI and Joker.

I didn't like that I didn't get closure for everyone else. That sucked. I'm really looking forward to the closure DLC.

I hated the endings.  I shouldn't have to look about for a different game to cheer me up after finishing an epic trilogy.

That said, I don't have a problem if people actually liked them.  But we were told there'd be a variety of them, depending on our choices.  So...where are the endings that I don't have a problem with?

I really enjoyed the ending. To me, it was pretty good. I understand there are some that don't agree with that, and by all means you are free to say that. You're just not going to change my opinion, I've ehard about every arguement, and none of them ring to me. I have a bigger problem with people demanding BioWare change the ending, or turn their backs completely on the company because of this. That is all.

I liked it, but that's because I enjoyed having some blanks to fill in for myself. I preferred not having everything spelled out for me, but it seems that Handhold The Line is the more prevalent view here.

Some would be fine, what we got was predominantly blanks though. And I'm curious how you filled the Joker running for no reason blank.

Ambiguous endings are overrated. They only really work with experimental subject matter or horror for me (Inception/The Thing for example). Sometimes I just want an ending to show what happened next. Especially after investing over 100 hours and lot of money into it. Don't get why anyone would argue against that, to be honest.

While not a terrible idea, the execution of it was mind-numbingly horrible.

The ending was full of blanks. If I wanted to fill these in, I'd have not spent over $100 (AUD) on the game and instead seated myself somewhere, closed my eyes and used my imagination to create an ending that made sense and didn't try to be all "artsy-fartsy" for the sake of it.

Oh, and I see you have one of those "Shepard Deserves Better Fans" banners. So, I guess you're a better "fan" than everyone else, right? Because when I see that banner, I automatically think, "What a tool."

I liked it...Only problem was I wanted it to be longer & out of habbit was waiting for the starchild thing to turn into a boss fight..
When it didnt the end just seemed short...but EC by its discription should fix that...

Its just that at this point its all anyone talks about & everything turns into...Most is groupthink slogans and BS and its hard to discuss things with people who stonewall anything other then what they think with things that are not fact...

There was a good number of people who liked the game endings, though we mostly could admit some flaws with it and look forward to the EC. The thing is we typically got browbeat by those who hated it and they tried to make us feel like less of a fan for it. There are some who can have civil and logical debates about the ending, and they seem to be more of the majority now. Before you would just get berated and belittled for not absolutely hating the ending.

I'm beginning to see the difference between "liked" and "satisfied" as far as terms used to describe how people "liked" the endings.

People who like the endings, are not truly satisfied with the endings.

Me personally, I HATED the ending, but there were very few aspects that I liked about it. Unfortunately, those aspects are based on speculation.

@ Malditor True there are some anti-enders who are too aggressive, to be fair there was also a good amount of brow beating on people who didn't like the ending though. "Entitled whiners" was the general term unfairly applied to many of us even if our criticisms were valid. We didn't like the ending because we didn't think about it enough. Neither side is completely innocent.

Those banners are downright offensive.  But plenty of other offensive things have been posted on here, so I suppose everyone can join in the hating everybody else fun too.
