The ending didn't bother me much, but that's mostly because I thought the story was pretty stupid to begin with and didn't really care. This actually relates to the end of ME and how awful, absurd and meaningless the story in ME2 is. So I wasn't even going to buy the game, but changed my mind and got the game a month after release due to a discounted price. It's still a fun game to play, but the story is a hot mess of plot holes, retcons, gibberish and Kai Leng. Meh.
Did anyone like the ending

To OP: I don't think anyone liked the ending. I've read through many of the "I liked the ending because" posts and they all just seem to head cannon/imagine to make sense of it. They use their imagination to make thier own ending. Thats fine but I don't see that as liking the ending.
Now this is just my opinion but I think the pro-enders and the pro-I.T.ers are both doing the same thing. They are using their imaginations to make the ending acceptable. I personally don't think you should have to imagine your own epilogue.

My biggest problems with the ending are that it doesn't fit the game(s) and doesn't make sense.
The existence/nature of the Catalyst; the logical premise of his "solution", the sheer lunacy of Synthesis, the inexplicable Normandy cutscene, and the way that the story just .. ends.
It's all so badly written/presented and the whole thing just doesn't work in the ME universe.
I guess it's cool if you like it, but I can't suspend my disbelief enough to view the ending as anything but farcical and ludicrous to the point that it devalues the entire storyline.

I did at first but after my second playthrough I put things together and now don't have a problem with it.
Is there anyone else who liked the ending or at least didn't have a problem with it?
Also don't turn this fourm inot some sort of hate thread for the ending and no IT stuuf I mean if the ending was left as it was.
The ending isn't bad if you don't start questioning it.
The moment you start questioning, "Why?"
Everything falls apart, as nothing in it makes sense.
There's no real climax, and there is no closure. That's the problem.

I was fine with it. It wasn't what I wanted but I appreciated it. Unfortunately I hated most of the story prior to it because of how contrived and inconsistent it is but given the bad direction of story they took in ME3, the ending was great.

I really did not like the endings. As soon as the credits rolled I thought I must have done something wrong, so I went online and found out that I was stuck with this nonsensical crap.
