How do I save Viconia from being burned to death? I talked to all the people present at the site, talked to the guard, talked to Viconia a few times, and activated the pyre (thinking this would release her) but no matter what I do, she ends up getting the Flamestrike. I'm thinking about taking her for my permanent group so I need to know. My group currently is Me, Minsc, Yoshimo, Jaheira and Aerie (Nalia got arrested by Isea Roenall). I'm going to free Nalia, but then bid her farewell when I get Imoen back. I wanted to take Korgan, but since he's evil, I'm going to pass on him and take Keldorn. Should I take Viconia instead of Aerie? I'm tired of Aeries whining and I've read here that Viconia is a good companion to have with her dialogue, plus she's sturdier than Aerie. Also, what are Viconia's classes?
Question about saving Viconia.

You don't have to do any talking - you just need to click the Pyre - TWICE. (the first time tells you what will happen if you do it again). Then Viconia thanks you, and the fanatics get mad and the fight begins. You only have a fairly short time to do this, before she gets flamestriked.

She is an evil Cleric of SHAR.
Unlike Aerie (a Mage/Cleric), Viconia is a pure class and will level much quicker... IMO her ability to 'Turn' un-dead to your side is the main reason to bring her along.
They will both romance... Some mods give her a kit which makes her stronger again.
Early game Clerics typically fight like a fighter with blunt & shield... There is a good mace that will give her 18 str while equipped until you get 'Blade Barrier' then you look at DW for the late game.

Viconia is an evil cleric and probably the most powerful cleric in the game, particularly against weaker undead. If she and Keldorn are both in the party, he will try to kill her every so often, so save frequently. Since evil NPCs permanently quit if the party's reputation hits 19, try to come up with a strategy for keeping rep. a little below that level.
