Just put the game in for the first time.  Hit the start button and it brings up the "Checking for Saved Games" screen, wich I have none, followed by the "Do not remove the 360 storage device that your dlc is stored on"... or it won't be avaiable.  I have not yet dled any dlc.  Next it attemps to connect to the "Dragon Age" servers wich I'm not entirely sure it completes due to the next screen popping up saying that "The Xbox Live Marketplace is temporarily unavailable.  Please try again later."  I hit "A" after that, it clears the screen and I'm left with just the title screen with no menu or options.  I am logged into Xbox Live and I can access the XBL Marketplace from my dashboard.

Yeah, apparently it fixed itself.

I just got the game this morning (yay payday!) and was having the same problem.

When I tried it again a few minutes ago, it worked,

Sweet!

I'm guessing that you're probably in the UK, because my mate had the exact same problem earlier today. As it turned out, the issue must resolved itself in the five or so minutes it took for him to walk across the road to my house, and for me to start a game on my own Xbox. I've no idea what the problem was: just letting you know that you weren't alone in getting it!

Happy to see it got sorted though....
