Hey guys.

Anyone else wish they would level grind in this game?

I don't mean so that you can power through the game...but I'm sitting here on my lunch, wishing I could eat my sandwhich, and just kill mobs of dudes until my break is over....

FUUUUUUUUUU

Please make some arena based DLC or something...please...lol

No, I've cleared the games...no worries.

But I have started a second playthrough...and I wish I could just kill time and mow down baddies for 30 minutes and thats it....fuuuug....

Maybe I just need a different game to fill my needs ha ha

i honestly didnt post any spoilers I am just messing around.

I doubt that they will add a patch where oyu just fight, but a arena would be neat for DLC.

A Proving-like arena add-on might be neat, but not having a grind is one of the many things I like about this game.

Um, just load a save file from before a fight you enjoyed?

Hmm...maybe I'm not saying what I want correctly.

I wish this game had the ability to level grind. This way, I could spend many lunches/breaks just grinding because its fun, then back to the story mode when I have more time.

I know the game scales, but that's not the point. I love the game, just wish it had this ability for those who want it.

I understand. An area where you can just fight. There may be something user created along this line at some point.

I have to admit, I would enjoy this too. Not as part of the offical campaign, but as just something to do for fun.

What would be really fun along these lines would be a mod where you could pick what you're going to fight against and their numbers, as well as just "give me a fight based off my level".

More random encounters and re-spawning of enemies (after "X" amount of time passes) would be nice. Sometimes I get 5-10 mins to fill and would like to have that to fill it with.

Most of the work has been done. I know there are at least two ways in Orzammar of saying, to different people, "I want a fight now, who's next?" It should only require a very tiny adjustment to make that an open-ended process.

I too want areas where I can just go kill stuff, but not an arena... Arenas are too static, no good use of traps, or ambushes, or choke points...

I would enjoy an area just meant for fighting too. I would probably start a new game and grind all the way up so I could play through all the game areas with their mobs/items scaled up to the maximum.

Plus the OP is right. Sometimes you only have a half an hour to play and just want to bash some heads in to relieve stress.

"Level grind"? Seriously? Go do it behind the auction house.

There's also a perfectly good Back Alley map available that features a lever and a portcullis. Wouldn't require a lot of script to say that if you pull the lever to raise the portcullis, it could also spawn some bad guys at the far end of the map.

I have some NWN toolset experience, but no time right now unfortunately. The way I would do it is an ongoing battle moving between three connected areas. Perhaps the the first area a town/fort, second some underground network, third outdoors then back into the town/fort. The player just makes his way through each one and enemies get spawned/scaled with randomness thrown in. I would just make it feel like an epic battle on the front lines that never ends.

Go play an MMO for your grinding jollies. DAO isn't about respawning mobs and sandbox gameplay. Maybe revisit oblivion.

It comes witha Toolset, so it is a customizaeble game. I don't see your point. Players can mold DAO into what they want, that's part of the package.

Grinding? Is that what kids call it these days?

In my day we called it slapping the bullfrog. and we did it in the snow! barefoot! with sticks!

Seriously though, much simpler to just play some F2P MMO. All your grinding needs will be satisfied and then some.

Unfortunately as fun as it sounds, it would break the game, You'd be level 20 and only 1/3 of the way through.

But I know what you mean, the combat can be fun, a lot more fun than running back and forth through empty zones

Someone should make a mod that creates random maps, with random loot, and all you do is run through and kill things that get more and more difficult :o

Essentially diablo with dragon age gameplay. Now that i think about it I would love to make a mod like that :l
