There are only so many "random" encounters, too. Once you've done them all, well, you'll just keep running into a particular dwarf merchant over and over.

When I hit that, I got really sad.  Same thing happened in KOTOR, KOTOR II, BG2 etc...

I'd like to echo the majority's sentiment here. An arena would be great. Boss rush, random group, random 1 on 1 (any party member v. some random lieutenant), set challenges. Difficulty levels for each. I can see myself burning 10-20 hours on this kind of thing along, provided the encounters it offered are actually tough.

There's a trigger in one plot event that spawns a new wave of enemies in the W Brecilian Forest. Steal that code, move it to Caridin's Cross, and spawn about a hundred darkspawn throughout the level. Job done?

Saying it would break the game is not "hating" it simply is what it is, you'd hit the max level and be bored

Actually I think it would be fun to play through the game with all the enemies scaled to max level. I hit a few boss fights at low level that just felt to easy because they where scaled down to my level. I think it could feel more epic.

I am still at a loss that anyone would find this combat actually enjoyable. I like the game but because of the story, the combat is quite terrible.

I find the combat enjoyable...so there. :)

I think it's just because it's more tactical then mindless hack-and-slash. Although it can be both.

This could be a "Calling" DLC, a level where you hypothetically go to the deep roads to meet your end. You'd import a character from a finished game, and go to the Deep Roads where you get no exp and the difficulty level creeps up. Would be fun to see how far people can go before dying :).

I forsee this DLC being made sometime in the near future. . .

Everyone who posted above me is bald. Strange.

I'd would greatly appreciate if BW would redo the final battle up to the Archdemon. The darkspawn there were wussies and died in 1 hit (almost seem like regardless of damage dealt). I want to see 100+ darkspawn on my screen scaled to my level so when I summon my army(ies) it isn't overkill.

I agree. I'd like to just mow down some bad guys sometimes.

The best you can do is to start another character... unfortunately.

You know, I'd even rejoice if there were an option to kill stuff for no xp and just random loot to sell. For me, it's not so much about the xp or money, it's about the sense of accomplishment of using the character I've spent days developing to go and stomp some bad guys.

It's only the low level darkspawn that die one hit

Slightly OT...Yeah the final darkspawn that all die in one hit are just...odd. I'm not sure if the designers were just giving us "anti-scaling" people a bone, and saying "Hey you want to feel powerful end game? Well look at how you mow down the darkspawn now!" after twenty levels of enemies that scaled up to you in power.

But it just felt odd to see them all dieing when I sneezed at them, considering they were supposed to be ransacking a whole heavily guarded city. Also, why did they get Duncan if they were that weak? (rhetorical)

The final darkspawn (not all of them) are pretty much weaker than the ones you fight in Ostagar at level 5. Odd. I would have made them all level 10-12 or so, at least you could have some fun. One shot kills != fun, feels like god mode.

And, for the sake of lore, the Deep Roads should have never ending waves of Darkspawn to fight. It would be the most logical place for such an add on.

This is a pretty good idea, though as a limitation, this would only be available once the archdemon has been killed, since at that point the Darkspawn will go back underground. So basically, this would/should be unlocked on the epilogue save (and not by an achievement, since that could mess up new characters)

Not nesisarily.  The Calling can happen at any time.  It's when the Darkspawns taint gets to strong, and they start to hear the music in their head.  When the corruption starts to show on their bodies.

Plus this is a vide game ha ha...who needs all the hoops ha ha!
