Not really.  I didn't see anything that changes anytihng for my new post ME3 arc.  I started it in March and when BW said they were going to give us the EC, I put it on hold until the EC was released.

For me, Leviathan doesn't change anything for my canon femShep, Leia.  Might mention some of the things Liara said, but that's about it.

Like when Liara mentioned Shepard rescuing young scientist trapped in labs and what shed do if Shepard helped this one overthrow the Shadow Broker... I got a kick out of that conversation

Or the one after the debrief with Hackett when she said she didn't want another tentacle creature in Shepard's mind...except her.

Well, Leviathan DLC was actually pretty good for me. I have totally now got inspired to do a one-shot between Shepard and Leviathan which would go into more detail on just what Leviathan thinks drives Shepard.

Odd, my Shep is in a relationship with Liara (though I did the Leviathan run BEFORE talking with Atheyta) and Liara didn't say anything like this what-so-ever.

Wonder what I missed.

No. I'm finding that the more Bioware adds to their canon, the less I feel like that canon is worth sticking to. If I'd had to stick to what Bioware decided fit with their vision for the franchise, my story would only be a fraction of what it is, removing many things that I would honestly say are much better than what Bioware gave us (there may be a little personal bias there, but even so I believe I'm correct in saying that).

I'll be incorporating some parts of the DLC most likely. The atmosphere of the mining station and crashed ship was rather excellent I thought. Nicely eerie. I'd already intended to play with the idea of the 'rogue reaper'. Haven't decided how much of BW's canon I'm going to use tho.

I used a file with a completed game, so I can't say for certain, but I think to get the coment from Liara about Leviathen in Shepard's mind and her not liking it.  You need to lock her romance with the Citadel date first.

My answer one page back ... no. Posted Image  Am going to ignore whatever BW's going to throw in the ME3 DLCs. From what I've read, seems like they're still reeling merrily down the mountain side. It's like what Kosh (B5) said : The avalanche has already started, it's too late for the pebbles to vote.

Page 180. Can we make it to 200? Posted Image  In celebration, I managed to put an hour into writing before jumping into GW2. Posted Image

As for Leviathan, I didn't think it was as bad as everyone seems to feel it was. I wouldn't classify it as great, but there were a few things in it that made me laugh pretty hard, a few things I liked. And a few things I didn't. But that's all I'll say about it because I refuse to get into a debate over it.

On point for the discussion of whether to include it or not, there are very few people who would even know about Leviathan, and of those that do, how many would truly want to stir up that sort of trouble in a post-ending scenario while the galaxy is in shambles anyway? So for those who plan to ignore it, I think that's a perfectly valid approach. Those who plan to embrace it? Also perfectly valid. Besides, I tend to view most DLC as optional material, rather than canon. Except for the DLC from 2. Since that pretty much went canon in 3, and in my opinion, rightfully so. As for Javik/Leviathan? Totally optional in my view. Fortunately for me, since my fic takes place parallel to the start of ME3, it doesn't impact my story at all. Posted Image

As for reaching 200 pages? We'll do that easily. This is an awesome group of writers and there's always a few more questions or issues to discuss and a few new writers asking about things covered before.

And to anyone I missed since I last welcomed new writers: Welcome to the club! Posted Image

@Drussius: I don’t really think anyone’s said (anywhere on the forums) that the DLC wasn’t at least OK for gameplay, banter and such.

The problems are largely twofold: 1. missing LI content, and 2. lore issues. Oh, and ‘no new endings’, but that was obvious anyway.

Now, on topic of the leviathans…I don’t think it’s the others who would be stirring trouble. They would. I don’t think you can ignore them in-world (i.e. if you do not ignore them as the narrator).

I’d also slightly disagree with the canonness…it’s canon just as much as all the previous DLC, in my opinion. If there was a ME4, it’d be included.

It's me with another weird call for help again!

I am considering having Miranda pretend her injuries from fighting Kai Leng on Sanctuary are less serious than they really are (with the 'scratch' being a cover) or than she knows. Maybe something like internal bleeding, but obviously far less severe, and with a delayed reaction (that takes her by surprise perhaps).

The film, Brick, comes to mind, but it never really explains why the character passes out beyond 'he has been punched a lot', and I figure a story needs a bit more detail than that. :P

So, yeah, any ideas? Otherwise, I'll just ditch it. It's no biggie, but I have an interesting direction to take it (well, a diversion, really).

Since the resident is out…

Starting from a very simple option: concussion. She would have blacked out briefly earlier, and perhaps felt OK but for some dizziness/disorientation. Can lose consciousness again, especially if strained further.

Ah, good call! Since that is probably just serious enough. Can't believe I didn't even think of that. Even used that in a script years ago (cribbed from The Office...)

My intention was for her to be with Oriana, suffer some kind of 'thing' and wind up in hospital. That should work.

Thanks!

I just saw the partial Leviathan walkthrough on Youtube, Does anyone find it strange that they added a weapon mod called rifle omni-blade? The thing seems redundant since everyone is armed with omni-blades. Also, it's ridiculous that now shotguns have metal bayonets but the rifles have omni-blades.

@Mad-Hamlet: Not all crossovers are that bad!

Oh, since I'm never going to write a post-Destroy fic, can someone do me a favour and, somewhere, have their Shepard use the line: "Death and I have established an equitable working relationship."

(Just because I saw YouTube mistranslate EDI say 'Jeff' in ME2, and I really liked the new line)

I didn't find it strange, but that's just because they basically ported over all of the new mods introduced in the last mulit-player expansion to single player in Leviathan. The Pistol Cranial Trauma mod, Rifle Omni-Blade, SMG Armor Piercing, etc...

The concept is odd, but I didn't find it strange solely because I expected them to toss some of the new MP content into single player. If you meant that the mod concept was strange, then I suppose it could be so. I just took it as sort of a bayonette concept. Why get close enough to stab someone hand-to-hand when you can add an extra couple feet to the range sort of thing. But either way, I just sort of shrugged it off. Most of the other assault rifle mods are far more useful.

@Lillitheris: Yeah, I know. That's why I'm thinking about not using omni-blades at all, at least not by those people who use assault rifles. Kasumi will also be an exception because in my fic she uses an omni-blade for her 'shadow strikes'. I think that bayonets in assault rifles should be a mandatory thing, not just a mod.

Funny fact: some of my readers mentioned about creating omni-bayonets for rifles long before Leviathan came out. :)
