@Lillitheris: Yeah, I know. That's why I'm thinking about not using omni-blades at all, at least not by those people who use assault rifles. Kasumi will also be an exception because in my fic she uses an omni-blade for her 'shadow strikes'. I think that bayonets in assault rifles should be a mandatory thing, not just a mod.

Funny fact: some of my readers mentioned about creating omni-bayonets for rifles long before Leviathan came out. :)

They've been in multiplayer for awhile now actually. And the reason you don't generally have a bayonet on all the time in the real world because the weight of the blade degrades the guns accuracy.

Yeeeees. Yes. Perfect.

And, of course, I want a link to everywhere it gets used. I don't need credit, I just want to see it. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

It must be done!

@Tairis Deamhan: When I'm talking about 'long before Leviathan' I really mean long before it. Most of those readers mentioned it once ME 3 came out and everyone saw the omni-blades.

Think I’ll have to play a little ME2 tomorrow. Maybe even ME. New job week has been a little stressful.

Ahh. True. Of course they dont make a lot of sense since it describes omni-blades in the fluff as instantly fabricated disposable blades.

Also, I just realized I'm at a perfect spot to use the awesome 'Equitable relationship' quote in the next few chapters of my story.

I, on the other hand, am…shamelessly occasional?

Meant to play ME2, but I was beset by a tension headache of the kind that just ruins your entire day…two hours of massage later, still not gone :/

Despite having a 12-hour working shift today I've managed to add another 1100 words to my new chapter. I wish I was this productive on my free days. *sigh*

I'm really hungry right now, gonna go cook me some pelmeni. With sour cream. YUM!

Ya know... after seeing the Leviathan on Youtube... I figure the only place those overgrown cuttlefish are going to go in my headcannon is in the bellies of the starving with plenty of bbq sauce. It's a fitting end, after all the stupid things they've done.

Seriously, you don't give yourself much sympathy when your a galaxy conquering race of unrepentant jerk faces that don't care for the nonsense you put through just because you can.

Beat my headache to achieve…like 5 hours of tweaking the character in ME3 to look anything like ME2 because BioWare sucks. I think I’ll spend a little longer on it…and then maybe I’ll play.

I should also write, but I’m not feeling it even though I’ve got the outline in my head. Having trouble with the wording, dialogue lines, and so on. It has been a few months since I last touched any of the ME games, so I think a little refresher will help with inspiration too.

Here is some great advice for writing, from the pax's seattle panel... Jay mentions.
In a nutshell he says:

The characters have to be true to themselves...

(like would they do this, act this way, in that situation, what's making them feel that way or pushing them to be that way)

What immediate situation the characters are in...

(like what's happening in that situation to make them feel that way)

And to think of the greater situation out there, like context, the characters are in...

I hope this makes sense. :)

Stories have a place, a time, a threat, scenarios, and conflicts... the dragon age creative director?(sorry forgot his name... terrible with names) He gave a good example with mages and magic being used for good and evil ways.

To be honest, at this point I’d rather take advice from anyone here than Jay W. I think he could learn a few things… (Edit: not that he’s wrong in this situation, perhaps, but of his ME3 characterizations, only Grunt was OK.)

I missed the VA panel, though, would’ve liked to have seen that.

I watched all 3 hours worth. It was worth it, for me anyways. I'm taking classes in web design and interactive media with gaming mixed into that mode. I've taken screen writing class so I can see where he's talking about those tips. You can read them in any screenwriting book... syn fields is a great book to have and reference.

I finished up introduction to audio... two weeks ago... what a great class. I had to pick music to go with voice over and then also use music, sound effect, vo's to tell a story in 4 minutes for my final project. My final project was based on various parts of Me2. :) I'll have a link of samples I did later tomorrow...

Oh yeah, I rather not have another Miranda loyalty mission 2.0.  I understand some parts needed to be there.  The chip and Oriana, and her father but it was really the bare minimum.  Her story needed so much more explanation and we REALLY needed to see her DOING this stuff than having it being mentioned in emails/pictures.  And the email and pictures did help in the end but it wasn't enough!

It explains why Ashley felt so... unused.  She need more too.  Frustrating with getting "good to see you" Only time she talked was on missions or very limited "plots"

I understood grunt's role.  Wasn't to bad.

I think I'm going to be pulling a Drussius with my next chapter. It's already 7k words long and there's been no natural chapter break, and not one for a while yet. I think I'll be posting my first 10k word chapter :\\ Not sure how I feel about that.

Anyone else had chapters stretch on for forever, and despite wanting to cut it short, couldn't? Never really happened to me until now. <_<
