Lill pm'd me over my readership query so doesn't appear to be perma ban. Just posting rights removed it seems.

I know there is not usually a 'top post' ruling here, but I wrote this and wasn't sure what to do with it, so...

Top Post Tableau!

“Guess what I just saw?” Shepard asks Liara. Liara is sitting cross legged on her bed in the old XO's office, still in her vest and underwear.

“Hmm?”

“Garrus.”

“Yes?”

“And Tali.”

“Shepard!”

“Well I think you can work out the rest.”

“What? Really? Garrus and Tali?  But that's... so exciting!” Liara says, now bouncing on the bed.

“Yea, I hope it works out for them.”

“Aren't you excited?”

“Of course, I just don't need to express it like a five year old.”

Liara slaps Shepard's arm.

“Ow!”

“Oh shut up.”

Liara begins to look a little down.

“What's up? You were bouncing off the ceiling half a second ago.”

“Poor Ashley. I wish she could find someone, family is so important to her and she'd love to have her own. What about James?”

“Vega? Ha! He's terrified of her.  I think she's the only person on board who he doesn't have a nickname for. I suppose though, he'd be too afraid to say no if she forced him!”

Liara stands.

“Beefy McMuscles! Give me children, now!” she shouts, pointing at Shepard.

“Yes, Spectre Williams. Of course,  Spectre Williams.” Shepard joins her. “Now that we're married, do I have to keep calling you 'Spectre Williams'?”

“Yes! Now do my bidding!”

Liara and Shepard laugh together.

The nicknames thing made me chuckle to begin with. I admit I'm not a huge fan of Vega, but the nicknames immediately had me thinking of Varric from Dragon Age 2, who I did like. He gave everyone nicknames too... Except Aveline.

Edit: And it's good that lill doesn't seem to be permabanned. The founder of this fine thread cannot be banished to the ethers! Such madness would be tantamount to heresy!

We could start a new thead in general, the bring Lilli back thread and get everyone to go there and say they want her back...

I fully expected to hate Vega, but he was much more understated than the press releases and whatnot would have us believe. When femShep calls him out on all his flirting, that was quite funny too.

Spirit: I'm not certain lill would appreciate the attention.

NP, Spirit  ^^

Woo!  40 chapts and 70k words for Blue.  I'd never have thunk it!  Particularly not during my recent doldrums of no direction on the story.  Had a period where I where I wrote nothing for nearly a month, even my music suffering.  That was hard, but refused to give in!  You fickle muses!  :)

^ Sorry about that. I've been hoarding the muses and denying everyone else. Been writing about 3K words a day for a solid month or so now, not counting the odd day where other obligations keep me from writing. Don't mean to hog everyone's muses though... Posted Image

Well, actually, I think it has to do with that Miranda thread fiasco that froze out the character threads for the weekend. Not that I'm saying she was definitely involved in it, but that she might have gotten swept up in the escalating tensions.

Meh, I don't know about other people, but I definitely feel an waning interest in Mass Effect after all this time. Even playing the games again doesn't revitalize me. Makes it a bit hard to updating. Well, that and all the life stuff. Anyone else experiencing this?

Moving day today Posted Image. Kind of a bit nervous...

Anyways I just wanted to wish everyone luck with their writing. I'm not sure when I'll next be online - if not the week coming; hopefully the next. And, Drussius; I'd like my muse back by then please Posted Image. Hopefully lill will also be back in business.

So yeah... Good luck, folks, and see you on the other side. Posted Image

I really don't understand it. Not to drag it up, but while she didn't exactly 'help' in the discussion, there was nothing banworthy in the slightest. She played absolutely no part in the real problems there.

Also, I don't think it was just the Miranda thread; which is sorting out its issues, thankfully. Community changes were afoot (as signalled by the survey as well as a talk at Gamescom). Just that maybe the friction there was...the catalyst (noooooooo!)

I feel it a little. I mean, I only really play the multiplayer. Even then, I feel myself moving onto a new game (finally).

But I'm still plugging away at the writing and I've made a 'big' decision. Essentially, I was going to try and write the Sanctuary chapter in two parts; with one being her arrival, struggle against the Reapers and fight with Kai Leng. Then the second part would be getting to the control tower, confronting her father and a bit of stuff with Oriana after that.

Now , because I've just been taking too long, and because I've managed nearly 5k words, I'm thinking of stopping that chapter as Kai Leng shows up. I guess it creates tension, but it also means the action is not completely relentless...since you get a break between the chapters :P

ATM I have my ME world, inc FF, some music and ofc the game itself though less so recently.  And Skyrim, which I mainly just play but with lotsa mods, with the odd questionable vid on YT hehe, Over 1k hours played on Skyrim now.

I think the FF is what keeps my ME passion up but I can understand that a good thing can only last so long and people will inevitably move on.  Unless BW pull one hell of a miracle out of the bag and sucessfully do ME4 or whatever other ME based game they might come up with.  Then again, they have DA, KOTOR and ME so why not another BW franchise in a different universe?  If they get back to good story writing, RPG, interesting and engaging charaters and fun gameplay, why not?

I myself am a Marvel Comics fan. And I have to say, every Marvel non-fighting game ever made has been lackluster at best, and in some cases... I'm looking at their so-called RPG here... downright awful. I would absolutely LOVE to see a Bioware/Marvel game. With Bioware's storytelling style and open character creation style and the settings, heroes and villains I love from Marvel? It would be an instant preorder for me.

anyone else got the pm from lill yet?

on another note, not entirely sure how to start chapter 9 Posted Image

do i go with one of the pairs (Graven/Erein, Cratix/Miyajii) or do i continue with Satris's little visit to an old contact.
or do i go with Spark, whom i have barely talked about, or Elyx, much the same.

S.R.

I was a huge Marvel fan pre the break up and redistribution of the Xmen crew (Which I think was shortly after the Reavers) I have all the comics dating back to the begining of the second crew (Storm, Cyclops, Colossus KItty Wolverine and Nightcrawler. And a few from before but I was never a huge fan of the orginal team. Loved the new Mutants, have all of them, so yeah love Chris Calremont but really hate what they did to my team

Yea, I saw that with the trilogy release. I was hoping they'd make ME1 DLC more accessible again, still haven't played Pinnacle Station or Whatsit Sky Thingy. :)

Oh, I meant to ask this somewhere, so while we're sorta on the subject...

The batarian in the initial corridor of Afterlife in ME2 that you can get a few para/rene points off, I wondered if was that an intended BDTS cross over that never got implemented?
