I'm wondering, is anyone else getting an error message when trying to look at your story traffic stats on FF.net?

According to lill, the following is a message from ff.net:

“A few of our databases from our stat servers are currently at 100% capacity causing delayed processing of story hit/view stats. We are in the processing of resolving this issue and getting the wheels spinning again.

Please note that we do not expect any lost statistical data as they are just temporarily delayed.”

Ha, yes! Wasn't fond of where they went with the character to some extent, but it's still certainly interesting. I think it's just cool to see her playing 'evil' for a change, and that she's a sort of like Catwoman to Dexter's Batman. Though, you know, very twisted versions of those characters. :P

And, of course, the last episode showed she still looks great with no/minimal make-up...

Well it certainly was an interesting episode and as much as they are bad for each other they are good, like you said Batman and catwoman, except they are both a lil evil. What an ending though, it certainly left me stunned

Okay, my internet is freaking out today. First it would get me on this site, but wouldn't load FF.net... kept saying there was no internet connection, even though reloading this page worked just fine. Then it finally put me on FF.net, and this site stopped working. Kept jumping to an error page. Now I have both of them working, and the game I was trying to play won't connect to the server... Sometimes I really hate the internet.

Just thought I'd share.

Yeah, been at my parent's place for a day now, and their internet is...so ludicrously erratic
Honestly, I don't really understand it...tried all my normal testing methods and everything's just straight up consistent...across browsers, across user profiles, afteross installs...it's kind of strange. Maybe the DNS server is just on the fritz...that's the only thing I haven't really tested quite yet. Might be it. :P

Gah! Feeling the pull to write a xmas one-shot, but I'm behind on writing my next chapter...wish I wasn't so conflicted. Want to do both badly, but typing on laytop keyboards is a bit difficult for me.

I'm with you on that one, Fluffy. But since I already shortened my normal schedule to post the next Chapter tomorrow morning instead of on Christmas morning, I was forced to drop the idea. But the urge didn't go away. Has been a bit distracting, actually.

I know I already said Happy Holidays, but just for the sake of bumping this topic off of the bottom of the page...

I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!

Had a relaxing time yesterday(well, aside from having to watch both "White Christmas" and "Miracle on 34th Street" with the family), spent a lot of today meeting and spending time with family friends. Dentist's appointment tomorrow, though. :\\

I am also hoping everyone had a fantastic last few days :)

Finally tossed out a chapter on Christmas, after sitting staring at it for almost 2 weeks. Then I abandoned AC III. I'm not saying the gameplay isn't fun, it is. I like sailing a ship, blasting away at enemies even tho I have no idea of how to sail a ship. They made it easy, I 'sail' it like a car, it's rather pointltess when the skipper tells me I'm sailing against the wind. What do I care, I blasted the enemies, didn't I?  Then there's the sandbox concept. It's really nice but I don't have the right frame of mind for that.

There's a twist to the story. I like it but then it went downhill from there because I'm obliged to 'start over' with the memory of the main protaganist, as a kid and having to develop him from scratch. For me, that's time wasting. The drive behind the story is information to counter a threat and with the twist, there is a golden opportunity to learn a lot if the player continues with the memory of the father of the protaganist. But no, I'm given the 'reset button'. Wut?!!! <_<

So I installed Hitman Absolution. The story is typical (I read the spoilers) but I like the gameplay. Sneak, hide in plain sight, assassinate or not (your choice), and try to figure out a way to gain the objective. I understand there is no single path to it, so definitely, I'll be replaying to figure out the other ways.

Can be rather silly though. Apparently, every officer in the police force knew an imposter the minute they see him. Duuuuuuh. :pinched:

They're 'hamstrung' by their own lore there. Animus memories only go up to the conception of a child (or at least the 'special' one in Ezio's case). ACII (or was it Brotherhood? Would explain why it's not explained) demonstrated how the focus shifted from Altair to the pregnant Templar after their secret tryst.

I can appreciate why people don't like the shift, but there's a purpose behind it, thematically and storywise. Problem is that it doesn't really pay off until much later...

p.s. Haytham is totally awesome.

I had a lot of fun playing Hitman Absolution. Some of the things the npc's says was funny when trying to find him. "Did you just see him walk into that closet? Does he think we're stupid?" Or the other one. "Drop the body." ****, they saw me. :) I had quite a few laughs. I bought AC3 but haven't played it yet. Still trying to plow my way through AC2:Revelations. I don't like the controls this was after beating Brotherhood. Enjoyed that one a lot.
