Guys I need a hand, my MP has suddenly been having connection problems, its been non stop every game I play today I get booted. ES forums keeps tellingme I have an error when ever I try to post the problem there and for some reason I am not allowed to post in the tech forums at all, can some one please post this there (Under the PC tech help) cause I just really cant play the game anymore. I've lost a ton in comsumables and I just am not going to chance it anymore, but I really love playing. Like I said this just started happening like 1-2 days ago
I think they closed the tech support forums for something else. Giz a sec.
Aye, you have to got through EA support:
http://answers.ea.co...t-p/mass-effect
Are you sure it's a prob with BW/EA? I don't know what you do with your internet or how good your ISP is. Have you flushed/de-fragged/scanned/etc/etc? Does a speed checker report good connection?

I'm not deviating from what is shown in-game (except one or two trimmed lines that are really only there for new players) so if EDI spoke or Javik were present, I can't help but think she'd have something to say, Of course, in-game that never happens. So, Liara gets the sole line of dialogue from a squad mate during that scene, and then the others will appear during addtional stuff on the way out.
My main thoughts are either to have Miranda aware of the 'EDI situation' somehow or to keep her in the dark, further emphasising her disconnect from Shepard and the crew.

Yeah I was there, tried to sign in and it wouldnt let me, tried to ask anbut it wouldnt let me, kept giving me an error
Took me several goes to get logged in (email/password error when there wasn't one), try a few times more? If I tried to pose the question on your behalf, anyone worth their salt would ask what system it is etc. Hard to diagnose without speaking to the user in question.

Like it was said above, as soon as EDI spoke, Miranda would know it is EDI.
My personal take on the scenario and what I would with in that scene:
Miranda was quite open about being unimpressed with an unshackled AI when Joker released her. Dunno if that's something to play on, letting an AI run around freely with a gun? That said, Miranda by that stage isn't really that Miranda any more, depending on how you've written her so far ofc.

you know what I was reading the post there and they are just blaming the problem on everyones system. I dont get an error code to tell them the problem it just suddenly decided to crash in every game over the last 24 hrs... I was fine this weekend during the challenge, but just suddenly it started.
Hmm, had no problems personally. Even did a couple of solo bronze today (woooooooo, get me). I was impressed anyway.
Is your internet generally fine apart from ME? Do HD YouTube vids play without caching every 10 secs?

Just to be clear, I'm not entirely happy with what the game shows, but that's what I'm working with.
The bit from ME2 when she was unshackled would be referenced (wryly perhaps) if I play it that Miranda knows. Great minds...

Yeah I could see that...
"First you unshackle a damn AI and now you've given it a gun?!"

Yeah, like I said, I'm not having her speak. And the squad mates in that scene get only one line, so I'm giving that to Liara. EDI will remain completely silent.

Oh sorry, didn't see the bit about her not speaking. Surely Miranda would have something to say about a robot with Cerberus insignia being a squaddie, prompting Shep/EDI to say who she is. Or even, Shep might offer the info to be 'polite'? "Oh by the way, remember EDI?" or whatever.

I'm not sure where to go with this part of my fic, how extensive would Shepard's injuries be after destroy realistically? I don't know if I should have him lose limbs and have his recovery based on learning to walk with prosthetics or just being severely broken and then learning to walk again with crutches etc.
Really depends how you've played it out already. He's still on the Citadel IIRC from your previous posts? Really, I suppose it's whichever you think would suit you best. Lost limbs I think would be a difficult mindset to write, whereas general recovery is a little more positive.

I'm thinking that the Lazarus implants offered enough defence to keep his body intact and have Chakwas (who did not rejoin the Normandy in my ME3) mention that Miranda helped out with recovering him and the initial surgery?

Yeah finally got through one game after getting rid of the tool bar, it was a useful one too, oh well. We'll try a couple more times tomorrow, thanks Stoob

My hurricane is level 6 and my Eagle is level 7. (The eagle 7 kicks ass. It can take out a good portion of a platinum banshee's barriers in one clip. I think it does more damage than my harrier 1.)MrStoob wrote...

Three words: spinal cord injury. It allows for the drama of limb loss, but isn't necessarily permanent, and you don't have to explain why Shepard didn't bleed out before getting rescued. Say his lower back got crushed in the debris, and he needs physical therapy. Then you can decide whether he makes a full recovery, never walks again, or anything in between.

I'm just starting to get this. Everything was fine 8 hours ago, gameplay in MP went off smoothly. Now, I'm getting booted a minute into a match so I lost consumables. After 4 times trying, I'm halting. I don't think it's my system, I think it's bloody EA.
P.S. Maybe they heard me cursing.

What sort of nickname do you think Vega would give Miranda?
(Or feel free to share 'Vega-style' nicknames you've created for other characters)
Because of my story and the context, I'm leaning towards something 'respectful' rather than simple. I think 'dama de oros' (queen of diamonds) has a nice ring (LOLPUN) to it, and is most likely the one I will go for. Otherwise there was 'chica dura' (tough girl) which sounds better by virtue of being Spanish, though maybe not great.
Miranda fans seem fond of 'Legs' or 'Frosty', being that Vega tends to reserve Spanish for people he likes/respects. To be honest, I'm not particularly fond of either, but then I may not be the best judge of Vega's character (as evidenced earlier).

I had him nickname her Cheerleader, leading to a little moment between him and Jack.

I'd say that Cheerleader may not be used for similar reasons, and that she isn't one when Vega meets her. I'd say that he might not give her a nickname, just because he can't think of something. Though, Big Sis might be something he calls her, because of what she's willing to do for Oriana.
