Ugh... had a horrible month that's put me waay behind on my writing.
Anyway, I need some help guys. I've got a storyline I;ve started weaving into my narrative, but it very much feels like I'm jumping the shark here. I need someone to either assure me it'll be fine or tell me to cut it out.
....
So... thoughts? Can this work in Mass Effect? Is it stupid? If you think it'd work, do you have any advice?
I dunno, I think it may be slightly over the top. However, it all depends on the nature of what was done to Joker. I could totally see Joker "entering the Matrix" that is EDI.
However, the other way around depends on just how extensive his omnitool and implants are. Honestly? I'd consider it to be more of a ridealong situation.
For example, perhaps Joker is still controlling his body, but it feels like a videgame to him, since he's controlling his body from inside EDI's virtual space? Therefore, EDI feels what it's like to be in his body, since she is along for the ride. The reverse is also true, and they could get confused about who is controlling whom.
I dunno, I just feel that the two of them working together to control their respective bodies would cause a synergistic connection, a slight feeling of discomfort, and ultimately a method to bond them further.
The melodrama could arise from them both feeling guilty about infringing on personal boudaries, but being drawn together because of it. They don't want to like it, it scares them, but they can't stop it.
Again, I will say that as long as your reasoning is sound, I can't see the fans rebelling too hard. Moreover, after the wild plot involved in the Citadel DLC (I won't spoil it here), anything is possible.
Hope your stalker issues resolve themselves, and take advantage of anonymity to block them before it gets too wierd, if you need. Take care of yourself, and remember to have fun with the story, or it's all pointless.
