Seriously, though, if I had to kill off someone it would've been someone from the first game to give it some impact and poignance. I mean, those guys had come a long way. Seeing Wrex go from merc to leader of his people and willing to die in some grand way would probably be my pick. Plus, you don't have those pesky romance complications with him...
And a query related to my own writing. Just not sure if Miranda's narration is perhaps too flippant (or any other unforeseen issues). The person speaking here is an ex-Cerberus guy wondering where it all went wrong. And, of course, it's just a first pass.
"How did it come to this?" he muses wistfully. "I mean, I never expected some sort of happy ending. No medals, no victory parades. More likely to wind up dead in some stinking alley on Omega than in a blaze of glory. We knew what we signed up for. I was just glad to be making a difference, you know? But this...did you ever see this happening?"
Now is not the time to bring up the saying about the abyss and battling monsters.
