Don't know if this is an Origin problem or Mass Effect problem.
If I log in on Origin and launch Mass Effect 3, it starts to launch and Origin says I'm playing Mass Effect. But nothing happens. The game don't even start or load, I've checked Activity Manager. It uses up processor power, but nothing happens.

This can be tied to Origin and its latest patch as it only got problem after I downloaded it.
If someone else have this problem or a solution, or any information at all about this, I would apreciate if you posted here.

+1

Haven't played ME3 in a while, installed an Origin patch today and the game won't launch. It worked fine before.

I've been having the same issue; the only fix I've found is to end the MassEffect3.exe process in the task manager. Once doing that, it'll allow you to attempt to launch the game again. Might take a few tries, but eventually it'll go through.

Would like a permanent fix.

AGAIN? They reversed the update to Origin 8.5.2 because 8.6 won't work.

I thought they released 8.6 AGAIN because it was stable, but is the same crap as before.

What's their problem?

Just rename or delete IGO32.dll in Origin folder. This really helps and has no effect on in-game connection for multiplayer. Funny thing: you must brake Origin to make the game work properly. Eh... modern gaming.

I'm having the same issue since the last update. It open the process in windows, but the game won't run. You can close the process and try again, eventually it will work.

Now the game is asking for administrator permission to update ME3. I'm running it as administrator, but origin keep saying I need to be logged as administrator to do it.. Really lame.

I did it, the update worked (read my last post). Lame as hell, I need to broke origin in order to make it work --'

EA, Valve thank you for your free publicity to Steam..

Edit: tried to open a game, it worked perfectly now.

Edit2: Origin won't open when I'm in game.

And here I thought I was the only one.

I'll try this.

I have the same problem. And as if this wasn't enough, I have to put up with this problem too:

I am unable to even start multiplayer. Ugh, thank you for the patch and DLC, BioWare. More about that issue here:

I can't get the game to play at all :/ Just installed the new patch and DLC, the game acts like it's about to start, then it just kicks me back to windows. I've never had problems until I installed the new patch.

Origin is hit and miss lately. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  It's just frustrrating when I can't access it for one to two days because the main window after you log in won't appear.:?
