My connection is normal (tested through pingtest.net, speedtest.net) and I cant play one game without a terrifying lag....

I have been having a similar problem while playing multiplayer.
Everything runs fine until I play about 3-4 consecutive matches then the game starts to lag badly to the point where its unplayable. After that if I quit and play SP the lag carries over and I have to quit the game and restart. However when I try to quit, my PS3 turns off and I must restart. Its really annoying.
So I can only play 3 matches consecutively, after which I must quit the game... I have reproduced it 3 times this week.

happen to me at least 2 times yesterday, lagging really bad, after a while it fix itself and in the night it happen again, is ea server lag for sure.

A couple people have been having the same problem on the ps3 after 2-3 hours of gaming on multiplayer the game lags like crazy. just had the problem but if you want it fixed just restart your ps3.

I've had this problem as well. It usually starts after playing for a few hours.
At first I was thinking it had something to do with my connection to the host, but it also happened while I was hosting. However, it would be consistent for one host (lagging between multiple games), but once I went to a new host, it didn't necessarily carry over.

Exactly as Mind Chimera & Karim_A described. I'm tired of having to restart my entire console to alleviate the lag in BOTH modes. Quitting and restarting the game is annoying enough, but the ENTIRE console?? Come on Bioware. And if i don't restart the entire console I end up encountering the broken main menu bug where it says 'checking downloadable content' forever until I restart the playstation- and even that doesn't always fix it.
And after a few hours of MP I start hitching too. Sometimes switching to new groups helps. But I've noticed that I start lagging sooner when I end up in a group where someone has a mic. Its not always their fault, but sometimes it is and lately even more so.
The other night someone had a mic- they weren't even talking, but in addition to some hitching it made ALL the audio in the entire round echo. At first I thought some a-hole was repeating everything our characters said verbatim during battle LOL!! I was getting SO pissed!!
"For thessia! For thessia! My suit! My suit! For tuchanka! For Tuchanka! Nice shot! Nice shot!" BUAHAHAHA AHHAHAAHAH!! There was also a roaring noise that sounded reminiscent of a flushing toilet. Once I realized it was their mic I had to switch to a different group. That was the worst bug I've noticed a mic cause, though it was hilarious. I'd like to note that the problem AND the lag was resolved once I went to a mic-less group.
