Yep. I've been saying it for a long time; must be hard being a literalist.

"What? Tyler Durden IS NOT just a figment of his psyche! It's just bad writing!"

While I agree with your sentiment and understand your thought-processes, there's a key moment in Fight Club that Mass Effect 3 doesn't currently have: the big reveal.  The movie point-blank tells you that the interpretation is correct.

Hopefully the big reveal will be in the EC or subsequent dlc.

Until then, there's no anchor---only unconfirmed interpretation of compelling clues.

VERY compelling clues. And the reason they left the reveal out (IMO) is because they wanted US to figure it out, that's a part of the IT that people forget; they were trying to indoc Shepard AND THE PLAYER. The ending wont have the desired effect untill people beat the game and can reflect on what just happened.

Right, you were indoctrinated so you have no reason to believe, no reason to hope, you're a lost cause.

What a highly original statement you've made! It says so much! You must be one of them thoughtful types, you know, 'cause it takes so much brain power to regurgitate memes like that.

Maybe because, you know . . . they are actually not bad endings. They are resolutions to the Reaper threat, just like Destroy.

I hope you are not serious about this...

How do the ending solve anything the star child brings up?

They end the reaper threat, and two of them can prevent that singularity thing he hates so much... So they solve plenty.

Just like debating religion and politics, it's pointless to debate IT any further.

/thread (at least for me)

Debating religion and politics is how we evolve as a species.

You know, I'd actually argue against such a thread... if ME1 and ME2 had not spend so much time and effort to establish Reaper tech as Lovecraftian, apex of technology and evolution and... well..."dead gods who still dream"... but we should just forget it at the last minute of ME3...

"Chandana said the ship was dead. We trusted him. He was right. But even a dead god can dream. A god — a real god — is a verb. Not some old man with magic powers. It's a force. It warps reality just by being there. It doesn't have to want to. It doesn't have to think about it. It just does. That's what Chandana didn't get. Not until it was too late. The god's mind is gone but it still dreams. He knows now. He's tuned in on our dreams. If I close my eyes I can feel him. I can feel every one of us."
