If you like Singularity use Liara's version, it's much better than Shep's and with her passive upgrades she can use it every 2.5 second.

I still don't get what the expand evolution does either. Probably going to have to dive into Coalesced.bin modding to thoroughly test this evolution.
Though the best bet for vanilla ME3 is to dump points elsewhere, or as stated before, dump points into rank 6 just for those biotic combo bonuses.

But yes, if you are using Singularity to set up explosions, you might as well evolve it to rank 6 simply for the boost in explosion power.

Detonate would be awesome if the singularity duration was reduced (base singularity duration = 15 seconds). At least low enough that an Adept speccing for biotic duration will be able to leave the singularity untouched, then self-detonating while enemies are still lifted from the very beginning. Otherwise, the detonation takes to long to occur, and most enemies would have walked away unscathed unless manually detonated with another biotic power.
I made a thread about this a while back. To be honest, I get the feeling Bioware didn't really know what to do with Singularity in this game - both the evolutions are too unwieldly to get any use out of beyond being Rank 6.
Typically I go for Detonate so that, on the off chance I don't detonate it, it still goes boom and does a bit of damage (basically working like a landmine with a timer). The expansion thing didn't really make any sense, I would have preferred a straight radius increase or some kind of defence penetration effect.
Saying that, I much prefer this version of singularity to ME2's sloooooow projectile.

Yeah, they kind of ignored singularity in ME3. If you ask me it needs some buffing. they should either make the detonation happen faster and be more effective, or use evo6 to bypass shielding like they did with lash.
Exactly. It doesn't feel like the Devs had a clear idea what to do with the Adept in ME3, other than make it an explosion machine. Which I don't necessarily mind, but its a bit annoying that the supposed biotic specialist receives such a basic power as their supposed signature ability.

its a pretty pathetic signature ability, thats for sure. especially considering stasis is better then singularity is. i cant imagine replacing another classes signature abilty with a bonus power, but its in the cards for the adept.
ive said it a million times, and ill say it again, singularity NEEDS to be instacast.

does anyone else get really annoyed when enemies float out of their singularites? its annoying. why not just use a pull if singularity does the same thing.

I have to say that I agree with you on all three points. Singularity needs to be instantcast and it needs to hold enemies for the entire duration (if it is going to last longer than Pull especially).
The only thing Singularity has over Pull is that it still has a chance to lift enemies if it misses (they roll out of the way). And Stasis fixes that problem by being instant-cast.

Liara's singularity appears in front of the enemy immediately, whereas Shepard's singularity has travel time and can be dodged.101ezylonhxeT wrote...
