You're basically metagaming to create a situation that would otherwise never exist. However, the situation fails to be created because it's not supposed to happen.Adria Teksuni wrote...
Second or third playthrough, I waited on Danyla until after I'd gotten the cure, thinking that perhaps she'd be cured and could have a happy ending.
Was not happy with Bioware.

I admit that after my elven lady mage bid Ruck farewell, his remark which went something like "Ruck shall think of the smell of your hair as he sleeps on his pillow tonight" was kind of... sickening. With all his comments about the Warden being pretty, I felt like smiting him. The thought of being familiar with a darkspawn (associate) makes me ill.
It probably would have been better for my Warden to end his miserable existence right there, but my Maker-forsaken conscience gets in the way.

That place is clear gameplay-wise. There are an almost infinite amount of darkspawn, spiders and deep stalkers around the Deep roads and you sre suggesting a totally defendless old woman to venture into a certain death?asaiasai wrote...
I usually leave Ruck alone and i also tell his mom as well. I have cleared that area so there is nothing for her to fear going down there so have at mom. He does seem to be coping with his situation, as has been said before who am i to say otherwise? If she wants to stay or try and talk him out that is her bussiness, i am not going to decide for another person what they do unless they attack me then i decide you die. This keeps the questions to a minimum and the answers simple.

The facts are simple. 1.Ruck's change is irreversible
2. It is next to impossible for his mother to reach him, and you cannot force Ruck to go back.
What is the best option? I certainly think at least telling his mother Ruck had a heroic death do her more good than bluntly telling her the gruesome and irreversible fate of her son, while she is totally powerless to this situation and can do nothing but grieve more.

That's what annoyed me about that particular resolution; there was no option to accompany her as she goes into the Deep Roads. A brief cutscene of their reunion would have been nice, though considering how practical and harsh some dwarves are, it wouldn't be surprising if his mother (or someone else in that situation) decided to kill him instead.
I thought the "Lady, your son is a dung-eating lunatic" line was hilarious.
