Oh, I'd say #4 most certainly is a bad thing. I'm taking a wait and see attitude with the Next Dragon age. (no more day 1 purchases) And if  within the first couple of weeks after release I start hearing players saying  stuff like "It feels like a polished DA2" or:  "It plays like DA2 but better"  Or:  "If you liked DA2, you'll love this!", then  no,   I  will NOT be buying it.

On the other hand, #7 isn't necessarily a bad thing at all.  I'll take "short but fantastic" over "long and tediously repetitive" any day.

yea ill take short and fantastic but ill take long and awesome first it won't get repetative if they do what they did for origins on how everything played out. I want a good story lots of drama that isn't random.... how can i play a short game and expect stuff not to be random the game sorta has to be long for certain problems and drama to fall in place correctly.

10: I'm gonna buy it no matter what (yep, managed to fool myself for awhile, but thats' how it'll go down).

See, that's how I usually am after one disappointing sequel, but this:

is more like my attitude now.

There just isn't the "I'll buy it whatever" attitude there was... I just lack enthusiasm.

For instance, Far Cry, Max Payne, Deus Ex - the list goes on - these series eachhave a game I consider meh, or even a real stinker-  but I'll still buy the next one right out of hand.

Dragon Age not so much, even though I loved the first game to a stupid degree... so what was the difference?

There's no other game franchise where I can feel the same kind of... eugh... thinking about it being a bit disappointing, because with other games it's just... "well games have a worst in series, meh" - I mean it's just a ame right? What gives?

I think the difference was probably the PR TBH. Never before have I felt this thing where there's a massively new direction taken knowingly, but if customers dislike it it's because you're a troll or some kind of congenital fricken' idiot. It was non-refundable, too, which lent weight to it...

Yeah, that's what that elusive... eugh... is, it's the feeling someone's said "Ya boo sucks!" to you and walked away with your money, leaving you with something you don't want and won't use.

I sound bitter or something - I'm way over being annoyed now, I guess it just left a bad taste.

DA3 can wait until I know it's good. :D

I just don't trust fan response to let it be a deciding factor about my DAIII purchase or non-purchase. Bioware fans tend to take every new idea or deviation from the norm as some kind of personal insult. Six months ago DAII was a piece of crap wrapped in garbage covered in vomit, and people are just now starting to admit that it was actually a good game. Not a great one, not one that exceeded or in some cases even met expectations, but a good game that I feel was worth my preorder.

We will hear the word "Maker" or "Andraste" at least once.
We'll probably see an elf or two
We'll probably see a Tervinter mage
Might cringe at the VO of our new hero
A friend will betray us

The pre-order bonus will be Commander Sheppard! lol! Actually no matter what, I am looking forward to this game. I think we will see a lot of faces from the last two games with only half of them being companion worthy. The rest will more than likely be killed off because that is how Bioware rolls. I would like to see a marriage romance option in the game. I am hoping for customized armor for both main character and companions. Hopefully some sort of improvement over the tree based powers that they did in 2.

negativity is endless with people on here. Dragon age 2 wasn't crap because with dragon age 2 you see what became better and what became worse. Most people were just upset they didn't get more dlc or an expansion(i know i was but i had to take the first step forward and forget bout it.)ignorance is the biggest thing on these forums. But im gonna be honest too and say with all that was said, Bioware should know what approach to make in all seriousness for dragon age 3. Take both goods from origins and dage2 and make a great game. Thats what alot of people are trying to say but in the most repulsive way.

Also how I feel. Which is strange for me, usually quite forgiving but I'v had enough. Though I will probably get the game as soon as its available pre-owned.

get rid of ... button = awesome .. if this is implemented again im going to smack my head against some concrete until i slur enchantments like a special dwarf and I will be in the minority that find this satisfying. bring back text dialogue.
In fact bring back Brent Knowles dammit. I dont want a hooker romance option, I dont want the virgin next door romance option, i dont want the gay whiny mage romance option.
I'm over it I've waited too long for a Dragon age origins sequel with real imports, real sequel, real people from my first amazing game play that switched me from FPS to hardcore rpg fan (Ive played so many rpgs now that haven't been able to compare to DAO)

Dragon age origins era is officially over the only way I can role play is smoke weed and play with legos.

Sorry for this ghastly submit but I'm thoroughly annoyed with every BIG dev at the moment. Money sucking back stabbing bastards.

Hopefully one day a dev with some ballz will continue the DAO story for real.

sorry for the rant, peace out homies

LOL! Sorry, I shouldn't laugh but "the only way I can role play is smoke weed and play with legos" really tickled me!
