See, that's how I usually am after one disappointing sequel, but this:

Oh, I'd say #4 most certainly is a bad
thing. I'm taking a wait and see attitude with the Next Dragon age. (no
more day 1 purchases) And if within the first couple of weeks after
release I start hearing players saying stuff like "It feels like a
polished DA2" or: "It plays like DA2 but better" Or: "If you liked
DA2, you'll love this!", then no, I will NOT be buying it..
is more like my attitude now.
There just isn't the "I'll buy it whatever" attitude there was... I just lack enthusiasm.
For instance, Far Cry, Max Payne, Deus Ex - the list goes on - these series eachhave a game I consider meh, or even a real stinker- but I'll still buy the next one right out of hand.
Dragon Age not so much, even though I loved the first game to a stupid degree... so what was the difference?
There's no other game franchise where I can feel the same kind of... eugh... thinking about it being a bit disappointing, because with other games it's just... "well games have a worst in series, meh" - I mean it's just a ame right? What gives?
I think the difference was probably the PR TBH. Never before have I felt this thing where there's a massively new direction taken knowingly, but if customers dislike it it's because you're a troll or some kind of congenital fricken' idiot. It was non-refundable, too, which lent weight to it...
Yeah, that's what that elusive... eugh... is, it's the feeling someone's said "Ya boo sucks!" to you and walked away with your money, leaving you with something you don't want and won't use.
I sound bitter or something - I'm way over being annoyed now, I guess it just left a bad taste.
DA3 can wait until I know it's good.
