Was the Reaper, Harbinger, and Collector fascination in Shepard ever explained. I'm playing the Arrival DLC again, and they let him live for... er... well... why exactly?

I'd presume they wanted to indoctrinate him or something, since he'd be quite useful. After all, he killed Saren and was primarily responsible for Soverign's defeat, so controlling someone that badass would be helpful.Obadiah wrote...

Sadly this was never really addressed much. They wanted him so BAD that they even wanted his frozen corpse.
