I cannot exit this map! Went to the north exit, right click for area transition and nothing happens
Any idea what to do to fix this?

Sorry about the late response, I think it's a RAM problem or something. I had to restart my PC, then I finally got it working. Nothing to do with how the game is supposed to be, it's a technical error somewhere.

I ran into that a few times i just restarted the game and was able to advance. I think it is a bug where you try to move to the next area before the game really recognizes that A) the darkspawn are in fact dead and
the conversation with the drarves has happened, it also tries to snap a quick save at that point which could also be what is screwing it up.
Just save the game. exit the game eitirely and reload save all should be well, at least that is what worked for me.

Thank you for telling me this, I have just been living this same problem. I kept thinking it was the addons or the patch that just came out.

I had this issue repeatedly in my first game when trying to leave Lothering but not in my second. Like others, I got through it by saving, exiting, reloading, etc, until it worked. 'Twas a pain.

I encountered the same bug. It seams like the same bug that I encountered in the orphanage in the alienage. Looks like I will have to fight the Lothering darkspawn again as I can not leave town even after restarting Dragon Age.

I seem to be suffering the same problem, although on my first play through I got out of Lothering with no problems, but now after adding a bunch of mods etc and playing through the early part several times successfully I am now stuck at the exit unable to leave and instead of World Map/ Party Camp appearing as I click to leave it comes up with The Bannorn so I was wondering if anyone had run into a similar problem or knows of a mod that might have caused the glitch?
Also if I go from Flemmeth's hut I can go to the Group Camp and then to Lothering just fine so I'm a little puzzled what is locking me into Lothering. I look forward to some advice and suggestions as I can't wait to continue on with my quest to destroy the Blight

No idea if this will help, but there's a console command that lets you manipulate Lothering plot states:
runscript zz_lot_debug

I had a quick look but it's not obvious which plot states might cause this bug, or whether you should set/clear them ... but it might be worth investigating if someone is really stuck here.
As always, make a secure save game first and use at own risk.

Thanks for your suggestion huwie. I did use the toolset to set some of the Lorhering quests that I did not complete but I still did not may any progress in being able to travel past Lorthering.
I am able to use the toolset to go to various locations past Lothering, however only the areas that I unlock using scripts such as in zz_cir_debug become available. I did not find a script that would open all the areas that I should be able to travel after Lothering. I ran the zz_camp_debug script for the first arrival, but this still did not open the map as expected (it only opened up the camp and I could go back to Lothering or Flemeth's hut).
One funny thing that I did encounter was that Morrigan who was not in my party, joined my party to make a fifth person after running zz_pre_debug. However, I could not control her, even though she did help out when we got into our next fight.

I was able to resolve my Lothering problem by uninstalling dim_Improved_Items_v13.dazip and installing dim_Improved_Items_v15.dazip. I did a few other things suggested by this forum, but updating the mod seemed to solve my problem.

I was able to resolve my Lothering problem by uninstalling dim_Improved_Items_v13.dazip and installing dim_Improved_Items_v16.dazip. The most current one.
