While I do love what you said there, I still go with that is Shepard just in synthetic form.

Sure, Shepard is still changed, but ascendent to something more which comes with it's ups and downs.

It's kinda like he/she grew up.
You know, we are different for the most part as we were toddlers, child, teenager, adult, middle aged and old.
Though many stuff still remain the same.

Well, I think we shouldn't use Shepard in this discussion, but human being and organic.


And that's what happens, Shepard is no longer human nor organic.

But it's still Shepard.

There is as much continuity between Shepard and Commander as there is between present Shepard and past Shepard.

Really that universe in the end is nothing but continuity... even physicist  know that we are just made from what was left of dying stars. So yeah Shepard  died and reincarnated... I like to use the Avatar: The Last Airbender comparison because  it works best for people understand what really happend in control. 

For me as soon as he said the  " The man I was..." It all feel into place for me.

The Illusive Man was right that Reaper can be controlled.

No problem nitefrye410. I take nothing personal. The barbies I played with as a child did exactly what I wanted them to do. Because I controlled them. My dishwasher washes my dishes because I program it to. My car gets me from point a to point b because I control it. TIM was under Reaper influence. Had been for some time.

He was able to figure out how to control organic subjects but not a Reaper because he was already under their control. His experiments were not a threat until he had a breakthrough on Sanctuary. But he was wrong on every level because he was infected by Reapers.

I'm not arguing reapers cant be controlled. I'm arguing that TIM was wrong to think he could. Shep was too if she went with that option.

If he said "The Reapers can be controlled, and control is the way to go" then yes he is correct regardless of whether he himself could do it.

If he said "I can control the Reapers" then yeah he'd be wrong.

I believe he said the first one.

Regardless I see people trying to pull the "we fought against control for three games" card and I can only shake my head.

We didn't fight against the idea of control, the theoretical concept that we could make the Reapers ours. We just didn't think it was possible. So everytime someone came up to us and said "guess what I can control the Reapers", we just didn't believe them. And rightly so. Until now.

So that was a really good video Seival. I have a Paragon, War Hero, Spacer, as well. Male however and romanced Tali. As much as I liked Laira... Tali was such a sweetheart. It's unfortunate that I am so emotionally attached to her. D: I also took the liberty of subbing to your channel. So yay. 

Anyway, as for the 'If Shepard Believes he can Control the Reapers he is wrong' I disagree completely. TIM was wrong in the fact that -HE- could control the Reapers..... Shepard is not TIM, Shepard is stronger, more resolute, more powerful. 

Shepard will Control the Reapers and in the case of my Shepard... live happily on Rannoch.

I think I should try to make some Control Ending art also. Have one idea... But it will be really hard for me to make. Don't really have any good drawing practice...

It's weird how despite all the endings still ****ting on the rest of the series (even post EC) to the point where I gave up caring about the ME world, they still managed to create an ending that irresistibly drew me.
The ability to transcend and to gain the power to explore the farthest reaches of space and to comprehend more about them than I could even imagine? And all that's just for starters? Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!

Control is tragic ending for Shepard.
You have to make sacrifices, but better on yourself then on the others.



Though, there's nothing saying Shepard can't have body like EDI.

EDI is still the Normandy, you know.
Shepard is now the Citadel.
