dose any one have a transcript of Guardian's [God-shep] full speech

Full Paragon Speech.

“Eternal.  Infinite.Immortal. The man I was used these words but only now do I truly understand
them. And only now do I understand the full extent of his sacrifice. Through is death I was created. Through my birth his thoughts were freed.   They guide me now, give me reason, direction. Just as he gave direction to those who followed him, the ones that helped him achieve his purpose, now my purpose.  To give the many hope for a future. To ensure all have a voice in their future. The man I was knew he could only achieve this by becoming something greater. There is power in control; there is wisdom in harnessing the strengths of your enemy. I will rebuild what the many have lost. I will create a future with limitless possibilities. I will protect and sustain. I will act as guardian for the many. And throughout it all, I will never forget. I will remember the ones who sacrificed themselves so that the many could survive.  And I watch over the ones who live on. Those who carry the memory of the man I once was. The man who gave up his life to become the one who could save the many. “

Mark Meer did appear to give it his all when he did the voiceover for the EC Control Ending. I listened to Jennifer Hale (FemShep's) version and imo it sounds like she did not put as much effort into it, but that's just me.

*Gasp*

DON'T YOU DARE SLENDER HALES'S AMAZING VOICE!!!!!!!!! SHE IS THE BEST!!!! BEST I TELL YOU!!!  THERE IS EVEN LESS LOGIC TO SAYING SHE'S NOT GOOD THAN TO THE CATLAYST'S LOGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Rage over*

I think she did a great job, actually. Very tragic. Both Meer and Hale did an amazing job with the control epilogue.

How sad will it be with another Mass Effect game, but without those two as the next protagonist voice actors? :crying:

@Hagarlshay. Agreed. Hale is best in ME3! A major part of the reason why I love roleplaying Shepard. Both actors do the character phenomenally well. I will miss her voice in the next game.

Let's not destroy the serenity of this thread over which Shepard you prefered. Let's instead control our posts and work peacefully towards the understanding that MEER IS TEH BEST SHEPARD EVAR!!!!1

Nah, just kidding, I love them both.:D

I'd love to find out what Jennifer Hale's preferred ending is. I'm pretty sure she doesn't play the games but I guess she could still make a decision based on the script.

Also see what I did there?:bandit:

Now I am sure we can all come to an understanding that while Ms. Hale was amazing for the past two games... Ms. Helfer wins the award for best performance for ME 3.

In fairness, I could not think of a better voice actor to do FemShep. And to bring the thread hopefully back on topic, It is only the control ending (including the EC which makes the endings tolerable imo) that makes it possible to play ME3 more than once.

Well  what I think they did wrong is the over - synthed her voice... it just too much and it drowns her out.

Thanks :)

A lot of people asked for Renegade Control banner. So I think it would be fair to make at least one. Soon I'll place both banners into OP and our group.

tbh I haven't decide about how I feel about it. While the reapers have done nothing less than to deserve the inslavement, they are still sentient beings.

I'm trying to see the reapers like the synthetics, having a certain goal, or a purpuse. The control will simply overwrite it, and create a new purpose. Like the geth heretics in ME2 (I chose to rewrite them).

That way, Shepard will not exactly inslave them, and I won't feel bad about it. :) Though it's just my headcanon. Don't know if it's true or not.

I disagree. Much like the Heretics at the end of Mass Effect 2, Synthetics have the neat little ability to be programmed and reprogrammed. Therefore it's safe to assume that what the Catalyst wants, the Reaper's want. Think of the Reapers as Wasps and the Catalyst as the Queen Wasps, Wasps are alive individually and have even shown the ability to reason and recognize faces with seperate personalties however they all server and do what the Queen wants.

Sure it's extrapolating this to a more advanced level... but the Reapers already follow and do what the Catalyst wants... and I am almost certain the Catalyst doesn't take a vote every 50000 years asking 'Hey you wanna do the Cycle again?'... no the Catalyst orders and the Reapers follow.

Therefore it's safe to assume that the Shepard-Catalyst-Reaper gives orders and the Reapers just do.

Reapers: "Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but to do and die"

Though this Leviathan DLC has me curious.

All and all though I don't think you have to worry about enslaving the Reapers... they may not be sentient as to how we know it. They may have limited sentience but an override which basically changes their opinions. Sort of the Evil Krusty the Clown Doll in the Simpsons. "Here's your problem... you got this doll set to evil"

Never gave it a second thought. I don't buy into this victimizing the Reapers trend. They're the enemy, we need to stop them. They used to be incomprehensible nigh-cosmic entities. Now they're just giant killbots. Why should I worry about it? I achieved my goals.

And even if there is a separate will, I don't have to deal with it in my version. Because in my version it's either deleted or absorbed. There are no more Reapers. There is only Commander.

I believe the Reapers never had their own will. Current Catalist is their collective mind (according to Investigate). The only way to give the Reapers their own will is to choose Synthesis.

I think it's pretty clear that Harbinger and Sovereign were highly sentient - Harbinger sometimes even referred to itself as "I" rather than "we", which suggests he was developing a full-fledged independent personality.  It's possible the smaller Destroyer-class Reapers had limited sentience, but we only got to talk to one so it's hard to say.

My headcannon is that the Reapers are highly evolved sentient beings, but their actions/choices were constrained by the Catalyst's programming.  Kinda like when R2-D2 had the restraining bolt on him in Star Wars.  He was still a fully independent being, but was restricted from doing certain things.

Whether or not the Reapers are 'victimized' by Control probably depends on whether or not your Shepard was paragon or renegade.  A renegade Shepard would probably exert more control over the Reapers to achieve his/her desired goals, while a paragon Shepard would try to minimize the amount of ongoing control he/she exerted (knowing how morally repugnant that is).
