I wouldn't say the Illusive Man was right, but well... Control ftw! :D

He was right in the  theory but all types of wrong in execution and practice.

Indeed... TIM's Renegade progress-bar was overfilled like 200%, and unfortunately he became almost completely insane. But even while indoctrinated he was still reasonable and cared about the humanity. That's why we can convince him to step aside.

By the way. Wanted to ask everyone after EC, but forgot about that... What is your final personal rating for ME Trilogy endings (in terms of personal moral value of course)? It's interesting to see people opinions on that matter...

...For me it's Control>Synthesis>Destroy.

Control

Destroy and Sythesis  are just about even... I'm not big either one.

Personally, I can't even include Refuse in my list. I prefer to ignore it :)

No, no. You all got it all wrong.

Control>>>>>>>>Synthesis>destroy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Refuse

Though synthesis and destroy change their places every day.

Well, I believe that anger and hate are counter-productive. I prefer just to say that Refusal is a nonsense each time I have an opportunity to say so without an off-topic :)

Refusal the Bioware  joke ending that alot of people missed because how they handeled and presented it I can't take any other way. Its like the UFO ending in Silent Hill or the Flan ending in  FF XIII-2  XD

You got it better than most of us haters, that's for sure.
What is your secret?
How can you simply... ignore?
Nope, that is not possible.

Not a joke. Otherwise it would only happen if you shoot the catalyst, and there would have been "CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE".

Refusal ending is like one of the ending choices in the original ending. Having no huge cinematics, no expantion of what will happen afterwards, who will win and how.

I think Refusal is just a mission failure "trigger". If the final decision is too tough for some player, then he can trigger ultimate mission failure instead of wandering around and shooting in the hologram.

I call it a joke bacause of how Bioware treats it.  Refusal should have had more a Braveheart fell to it but instead falls flat with a terrible speech and the fails to deliever.

Control all the way baby.

Control>Destroy>Refuse>Synthesis.

The only thing I do like about Synthesis is Joker and EDI  together and happy.

By the way. EDI consists of several parts actually. Normandy is her true body, and humanoid synthetic is just a mobile platform. So... what exactly happens to EDI in case of Synthesis? Split personality? What will the second EDI look like as a person?

...Probably Joker will become twice happier after he'll get two EDIs.

...Anyway, I'm glad that in case of Control, EDI remains unchanged.

Just played through renegade control last night, have to say.. it made me wonder if I just replaced one monster with another when reneshep says I'll create an army non dare oppose O.o

For me Synthesis >Paragon control>>>>>>>>>>>destroy>renegade control, and refuse somewhere near the bottom of the list ;)

Seival, according to my interpretation of synthesis, an AI would still remain an AI, but would gain sufficient complexity to mimic human emotions. Mentally it would be almost the same as an organic. Thats why We see EDI smiling and hugging Joker ;) So EDI would retain her body and the Normandy but would be almost human in her mental functions.

In Control, could Shepard do something similar to EDI and use a mobie platform or something?

^ In theory, I think s/he can.

But from what our friend the catalyst said (JK, he's not a friend), Shep will be cut off from the galaxy and the community. And since the only reason you may need to mobile platform is to be with your LI... I'm gussing it won't happen.

But hey. An ending open to interpretations. You can headcanon all you want :)

I always figured Control would be among the options but during ME2 when I gave it some thought, I felt that Paragon/Renegade would play into it more where either evil Shepard begins to dominate the Galaxy or Paragon Shepard simply chooses to leave.

It was definitely a good thing to be an option at the end but just terribly executed and the context just didn't fit.
