BTW, if you are going to quote Shepard about killing the reapers when there seems to be no other option, then there is no reason to debate this. Your Shepard is more clabrating the stakes than mine does, but your Shepard is also more closed minded than mine.

If it is I.T. it is so much more than "just a dream".  It is Shepard battling his own limitiations in order to stop the Reapers.  Lets for just one sec imagine that  the EC confirms I.T.  First it not only explains what happened in the ending almost perfectly, it does something even more amazing.  It essentially indoctrinated every player.  Think about it.  Everyone who chose Control or Synthesis is doing EXACTLY what  an indoctrinated character does...  vehemently defends their choice.  The same goes for the people who chose Destroy thinking that is the choice that breaks you of indoctrination.  We are telling you that you are under the Reaper influence.  Bioware (if IT is true) has managed to place the Reapers into the real world in a sense.

Second, think of the possible consequences in a DLC.  For those who chose Destroy, Shepard wakes up and orders the fleet to destroy the Citadel there by destroying the Catalyst thereby destroying the Reapers.  For those who chose Synthesis the entire fleet can be shown leaving the galaxy with the Reapers.  For those of you who chose Control show Shepard as a new catalyst talking to an advanced yahg being presented the same choice 50,000 years from now.  Maybe tie in Liara's time capsule somehow.

To me this would be far more brilliant than Deus Ex Machina.

Oh,really? Then no one should try and understand the reapers? why not? Just because TIM was crazy with his stupid methods and reasons, does not mean the fact he tried to understand is necessarily bad. Why can't a man understand his enemies motives, or plans, technology? TIM tried to figure out all that. Only after that he became power hungry. But that is his personallity. Shepard, or at least my Shepard, will not fall for this things. I don't believe she will, at least. But other people can think their Shepard will do what TIM thought was right.

You're talking about the man who cheated death.  The man who slammed the planet face first and still cheated death.

Shepard becomes the Reapers.

I don't consider that good in and of itself, but I think it's a sacrifice worth making to save the Geth. I truly don't expect to do anything with them. I don't feel interfering is the best thing to do. I'd probably rebuild the Relays if that was within my power, but other than that...

I'd probably hide out in Dark Space. If you can search through the knowledge of Reapers, then you'd be able to map out the entire Relay Network, open up all the dormant ones.

the reapers let something slip while they were manipulating shepard mentally.... otherwise it makes no sense.

HUH? If the catalyst is the reapers creator then why haven't the reapers rebelled? "The created ALWAYS rebel against their creator", he contradicts his own logic to the maximum extent because this would be the longest running creator/created relationship EVER.

Why does it not make sense? Didn't you though about destroying the catalyst when you relised he is the reapers creator? He is the reaoer's creator, thus he a part of them. If you thought about destroying the reapers, it means you also thiught about destroying the creator, or controller.

I think it sorts of lumps them together in that instance because they are sort of the same, just like Shepard says "we" when speaking about organics, rather than distinguishing all the races.
