^There is no need to have a new protagonist that is related to Shepard.

And it also gives lot of freedom to a character, if we don't' go with that route.

I would much prefer if  it was  far enough in the future  where most of the cast has passed on and Liara, EDI, the Geth and Grunt a still around  acting as mentors for a new cast of heroes.

Qaurians with out theface mask

Pft-HA-HA-HA!
No.

She's in there, everyone else is.

Also, I was always attracted on 20 years later.

Because it would be similar from WW1 to WW2.
Many people said WW1 is war that would end all wars, only for 20 years later to get far more devastating one.

Bailey said the same thing after Cerberus coup.

Now, next war couldn't not be even remotely as devastating, unless Reapers go full in.
Which Shepard Catalyst wouldn't allow. Not even Renegade one, it's kinda hard to rule the ruble.

I'm also sure after Reaper War, there's gonna be struggle for power.
I mean, most of governmental structures are out, there will be fear of Reapers still being around, fear on geth as well.
Also, Salarian Union is mostly intact from war and it's established they want power.
There's also Daro'Xen that would do anything to control geth and probably expand it to all synthetics.

Though since Reapers are around here, nobody would be even thinking to go on full on war.
Instead it would be terrorist attacks, assassinations, founded small scale wars and etc.

Due to that, Reapers assistance would be useless, without them causing heavy destruction.

So I think Shepard Catalyst would create some multispecies organization to deal with this problems, without causing too much destruction.
While there are Spectre's there, for this an army would be needed.
Small one, but well trained and equipped.

And our new protagonist would be invited to join, if it wasn't already part of it but some mission made him/her to be famous and be under close eye to Shepard Catalyst for top missions.

And every surviving character could be either a nice cameo because he/she aged or maybe help out in some mission as a high ranking officer.
I mean, Imagine James Vega as a captain of his own ship after 20 years.

Nice idea.

...And they always can reserve Shepard's Asari daughter for the Third Trilogy :)

...Seriously, how many Final Fantasies are there? 14? It's not fair! I want at least three Trilogies in ME Universe :)

In future games I hope not just to play as Shepard's Asari daughter...

...I also hope to see Matriarch Liara, who is captaining the Destiny Ascension and helps Catalist Shepard to build a future with limitless possibilities. I hope to see Grunt became as wise and strong as Wrex. I hope to see Wrex and Eve leading the Krogan. I hope to see Krogan became wise and spiritual race again. I hope to see Quarians without their masks. I hope to see Council consist of members of all races, even the Geth and the Reapers... I have a lot of hopes... ME Universe should continue, and continue beautifully.

BioWare, please, make this happen :)

Liara is not a leader and she become quite a private person since becoming a Shadow Broker.

So part of her commanding Destiny Ascension is not happening.
Also, she needs to be almost 1000 years old to become a Matriach.

She is just 150 years-old... I'm sure she will become the true Asari leader. She just needs more time. Right now she is just too young :)

Liara is not really suited for the military.

And frankly, while I would not oppose the idea of playing the daughter of Liara/Shepard because.... well .... look at my signature. Lets be honest and admit it would be a bad idea since it would alienate alot ME fans.

No. In my opinion, the next ME game should take place before ME1. It should be a spygame ala Alpha protocol, the cast should be new with a few cameos from the Shepard-trilogy. The plot should in no way be related to the Reapers and the protagonist in no way related to Shepard.

Though she's not even going to direction to even attempt to become a leader.
And she doesn't even have to.

After Reaper War, we will need less soldiers and more support for rebuilding and aiding civilians.

I thought Liara was 109?
Never mind. I don't believe Liara would go be the asari's leader. She's a private person. She may help the asari secretly, but definitly she won't do any attempts to have anymore than that.

And do the asari even have leaders?

I think they will rebuild everything completely in 100 years or so. Liara will be just 250 years old. I think she will choose to become the leader eventually :)

Do you remember how fast Jack became a leader? But in ME2 she was just a mindless criminal. Shepard's influence is really strong thing :)

...By the way, maybe Liara will become an Asari Councilor? This is also good decision.

But they still have Dark Energy plot and the Reapers' creators reserved...

...Some games that took place before ME1 would be nice, but they can tell much more beautifull stories if they will choose to make games that will take place after ME3 events.

I don't think so.

It kinda goes agianst her character to become a leader.

And does she has to be a leader?

Jack didn't become a leader, but a teacher. And it was the Alliance who put her there, to keep her resraint. And there is much more responsibility to have as a race's leader than a teacher. And Jack wasn't mindless :crying:

I just don't see Liara as a leader. She isn't a politician. Though each of us see the characters in a different way, I guess.

Well, I think that it will be the interesting and unexpected role for her. Just like in case of Jack. Liara could be one of the main non-squadmate characters in future games.

Any good teacher has to be a good leader. Otherwise it's not a teacher, but an intelligent "walking-and-talking-tutorial-book".

Well, she IS the Shadow broker... that is alone a huge role...

And if she'll be in future games, then all the other characters should. And they all should have big roles.

How can they be more better by being after ME3?

I do not know about you, but I wish to see this world before the Reapers left their mark. I want to see this universe before Shepard became a spectre, I want to experience Mass effect when things were normal. I want to experience a story not large in scope, but deep in character.

That depends on what kind of teacher you are. I think we can both agree that Jack will never be a good politician?

And you have no idea how many teachers are walking and talking tutorial-books.... At least where I come from.

You think she would remain the Shadowbroker forever? Maybe you are right. Not sure. I think Liara can be a great leader...

...By the way, Shadowbroker is actually a strong leader of strong organization. Liara definitely has strong leadership skills.

...I think she will become the great leader anyway. And she will definitely cooperate with Shepard Catalist directly.

Yes, I agree, that the new society needs less politicians and more good people.

Though, I don't think Jack quality's for that, still.

Besides, Liara would be quite useful as a Shadow Broker.

I mean, she has every into on everyone and she's an ethical and good person.

That's someone you want to have with ton of secrets.
