*laughs* Don't get me started with Dragon Age Origins. One of my favorite games, but I never bothered to register it.

And the ending there was its own drama for me...My female warden hooked up with Allistair but...*sigh* I made some silly choices at the landsmeet and no happy end for them, but at least she lived because the other one died who also deserved to die! Another run, this time I choose rightly at the Landsmeet, but Allistair just dumps my warden after that. I was furious! Really! I went to extensive research to find out if there is a positive outcome, and found one. Had to play several hours again, but it was worth it...

And then *sigh* my Warden and myself had to...make a decision to save herself and Allistair a future together but at what cost. The headcanon there was a sad one, I can tell you. But nevertheless, they were boh alive and could live on, if not happily, then at least reasonably so. But they won't have kids on their own, and this one night...well, there were hours in their life when harsh words were said and tears flowed, but in the end everything was still good...a wonderful game, I should play it again

Thank you for the mental support. I think as long as I can see my Shepard's alive and in her Kaidan's arms, I'll find a way to live with it...Image IPB

Ah good, couldn't be sure so didn't want to risk spoilers.

The Landsmeet is probably my favourite dialogue sequence ever. It manages to hold so much suspense, and the outcome is reliant on your choices. In fact, if Loghain is the TIM of Dragon Age, the Landsmeet was a million times better than the conversation battle we had with TIM.

Come to think of it, is Alistair the only LI who will break up with you in a BioWare game? Every other LI I can think of: You have to make the decision. There's a dialogue choice there and you pick. Interesting..,

My canon Warden (my first Warden - I have about 6-7, both male and femlae :P) died. But then obviously I couldn't import my save to Awakening because BioWare can be stupid sometimes. So I had to have Alistair kill the Archdemon instead because I didn't trust Morrigan. So much crying was done that day. :crying:

Me too. I want to see myself being dug up from the ground and Reuniting with Miranda, holding her in my Arms<3.

And for Quorra Shepard, she should get the same: They find her, and she is Reunited with Liara.

I'd like some clarification for the tube. If the Geth and EDI die I'd like a little mourning scene with Joker and the Quarians (if they made a truce), and have the Galaxy celebrate the Geth and EDI as sacrificing themselves for the rest of them.

I'd like to see the crew and LIs reunited, also.

LOL, yes because they are  cold and ruthless because they can completly destroy organics at any time, and are they are the only reasons organics were uplifited.?

They can do whatever they want with SciFi as long as people are willing beleive in the Lore and it's their IP

So now you right off wholecharacters because they debunk your argument? Nice try

You pretty said it here just like we have choices at the end depending on what we think is right. IF shperad would have said that he hates synthesis (lets pretend through auto dialogue) and the player chooses syntheisis at the end the dialogue becomes invalid and shep is ultimitly changed no matter what he said

Ruthless (adj): having or showing no compassion for others.

Cold (adj): lacking in passion, emotion, enthusiasm, ardor, etc etc.

Neither of those imply "vicious hatred", because hatred is, in itself, an emotion.

I'm not "righting" (Another English fail, congratulations) off characters because of anything. I'm dismissing their otherwise scientifically impossible traits (In a science fiction story, no less) as an unreliable source of information.

Shepard performing an action that invalidates his/her opinion is NOT Shepard changing their mind on something. If Shepard had said "Y'know what? I actually kinda like this whole Synthesis thing", then his mind was changed.

Once more those have nothing to do with the  Reapers using Logic to do what they do, and they are not cold or ruthless because they do it for the greater good, and when you used hitler you were implying some sort of vendetta.

Correcting me still doen't make  you less of an idiot for completely ignoring established lore and characters of the universe.

Here is another ex. of not needing brains for memories,   http://masseffect.wi.../Virtual_Alien. But let me guess that does not count either because it debunks your argument

I say the Reapers are cold and ruthless, thus cooperating with them is nonsensical, to which you come back with "No, they r vicious and hatefullll!" I provided the dictionary definitions of the words and still you defy what is staring you in the face.

What established lore am I ignoring?

Also congratulations on using the VA's, which are specifically noted as "Organics that 'downloaded' their minds into a starship to avoid annihilation". Note the very specific use of the word "download". Not "Liquefy and turn into paste", but "Download". What the Collectors and Reapers do to people is both fundamentally and functionally different than the Virtual Aliens.

when it says they destroy their militaries and then form a client race it's possible this is simply what the turian culture that now represents them all did in their ancient past hence why there is only one government eventualy they all just became turian Hierarchy members.

And yet, we witnessed it on Shanxi. Destroy the military, systematically exterminate the population until they submit and then occupy.

Now it's symbiosis, the volus provided goods and services that they requested and the turians obliged and protected them in exchange for something they neeed. It's interspecies cooperation, something quite alien to you.

A slave trader will also protect its merchandise. Somehow, I doubt if the volus requested independence, the turians would be willing to comply.

It is not giving up human sovereingty, the volus have heir own embassy for their own government.

An embassy that has no real power since it can't affect any decisions the Council makes and their own government has to pay taxes to the turians.
How benevolent of the turians.

The fact we can pioneer new technologies suggest only the role we would largely be known for. As scientists, a dignified well paying profession.

So, you would be happy if humanity was simply known as the scientists of the turian race rather than what it is? The fastest rising species in the history of our Cycle?
What the hell is wrong with you?

They demonstrably did not leave us to burn, when shep asks them to help on Menae with their burning homeworld above them they say that they can't help in the sense that it isn't physically possible, which is true, the only ships leaving at that point are stealth ones and the turians can't ship an army out with the few if any they possess so they need something to weaken the reapers.

I won't blame the turians for putting Pallaven before Earth, I would have done the same in their position. However, after we got the krogan to help, they still did nothing to help humanity until the Citadel was in orbit of Earth.
Then, they came along and acted as if they were doing us a favor when in fact, the only reason they were on Sol was for Pallaven, not Earth.

Same thing for Irune and they still could have let the volus die and use those extra troops to protect actual turian worlds.

They did not sacrifice a single turian world for Irune, that much is certain.

There are instances of help in the interim,

The only I can think of was asari commandos evacuating Tiptree. Apart from that, humanity was abandoned to burn so as to buy time for the aliens.

the elite operatives in MP

MP is not canon. Otherwise, I'm fairly certain we would have already exhausted the human population with Husks, Cannibals and Cerberus troops.

and the turian participating in a mixed-species squad on Cyone.

Because they needed it. Same logic as "Priority:Earth"

Yes, Dragon Age Origins beats ME3 in many ways, especially towards the end. I think it works better in DA, because there the Archdemon will always be destroyed, no matter what. And it is up to us to decide how we do it, if we take a risk, sacrifice a friend/enemy/ourself. In ME3, the biggest issue I have with blue and green is that the Reapers seem to get away here, unlike the Archdemon. The reapers survive and Shepard not. This goes against my feeling of justice, and is one major reason I despise control and synthesis so much

And I am not sure about LI in Dragon Age, never experimented much. But allistar needs to be "hardened" after he meets his sister. Then he will have the heart and also will be "selfish" enough to stay true to his love. Otherwise he argues that the throne needs an heir, and two wardens cannot have one and rubbish like that. He can be happy my warden can't use meta-gaming, else he would have serious trouble with her knowing he is capable of such thinking.

Quote is nice...makes me sad though now...I hate the endings even more now...

Shepard emerging from the rubble just to be crushed by a falling Reaper. The irony would be exquisite.

Otherwise, I will take Shepard being crippled due to Lazarus upgrades ceasing to function.

But, would Quorra see Liara again? Doesn't the LI come out on the Normandy? Which would mean Quorra would be alone.:(

What about Miranda? Ever since March I wondered what happened to her. I still worry. Did she survive the Battle? This has more affect on me than for Quorra. Not only is this one my Canon, but I also feel like I'm actually there, in Shepard's Place, as Shepard, and not just because of my name. I Hope Miranda is ok. She has benn My ONLY Love Interest for more than 2 Years, ever since I started playing the Series.

I don't count Liara as my Love Interest, but as Quorra's Love Interest, if you know what I mean?

In a literal interpretation?

Hmm...Shepard emerging from the rubble, helped on her feet from her LI. Reaper corpses all around her, Soldiers first celebrating, then stopping after they realize it is over, but at what cost. Shepard limps, helped by her LI, through the silent crowd of soldiers...

And because I am really in the mood now: On the way, she is greeted by EDI, and several Geth Primes salute her. she looks long into her Kaidan's eyes, surrounded by her surviving friends, within the ruins of London. They hold each other, feel each other, touch each other as if they cannot believe they will se another day together, then they kiss, and the scene fades slowly away...

The epilogue shows the fleet salvaging the Reaper corpses. We see Geth, Quarians, Krogans, Turians, Asari, Humans all working together to retro-fit  their Ships to use Reaper-FTL for Space-Travel. The galaxy is free, to rebuild, to live on, and to make mistakes. But they will be our mistakes, as well as our achievments and progress...

Or in an IT-interpretation:

Shepard wakes up, surrounded by alliance soldiers, Krogan warriors, geth primes, her entire sqaud, Jack's biotic team, Asari, Salarians, all protecting her against a sudden onslaught of Husks etc, while a medic patches her up.
And just before she stands again, grabbing her rifle we hear and see how Harbinger is coming down...the scene fades to black...and we get a nice pop-up: To be continued in September

I'm keeping my expectations in check and just wrapping my mind around what we've got now. Projecting anything beyond that, into the realm of what BioWare could and could not do, is fairly dangerous.  Acknowledgment for sticking to my guns (and the series' path), however, would be a big step in the right direction.

If you want to throw in visualizations of my war assets, clarifying what happened with the relays and Normandy crash, and a LI/squad reunion after waking up in the rubble (whatever the hell that really means), then I'd be a pretty happy camper.

Exactly.

When they marketed 16 wildly different endings, I expected something like DA:O.

My first Warden set it all up so that Anora was deposed and she and Alistair would rule, but I couldn't make him go through with the Dark Bargain, and then I took him up on the tower ... Oops ... Soooo, I wound up losing my love and having to quit the kingdom because I'm sure Anora's not the kind of gal to forgive and forget.

My second Warden Played out similar to the first except she hardened up Ali and pushed through the Dark Bargain, so they took over the kingdom.

My third warden was a mage. She never toughened up Ali, and romanced him and set him on the throne over a deposed Anora. In the end, he dumped and she went on a total woman scorned kick. She had just enough time to romance Zevran, refused the Dark Bargain, left Ali down to defend the gates and sacrificed herself neatly breaking both Alistair's heart and Zevran's. But she won the freedom of all Ferelden's mages.

My final Warden was a city elf who never romanced Alistair. She went for Zevran all the way. She toughened up Ali and made him marry Anora. She also pushed him through the Dark Bargain.

Four playthroughs with four pretty different endings. Why couldn't we have gotten that for ME3? If it was the end, they didn't have to worry about continuity, so they could have really played with all the variables. There really was room for 16 wildly different endings. It would have made me so very happy.

It's the rush through and pretty much ignore the side stuff so your EMS is so low you can barely finish the game ending. Apparently, if you saved the collector base in ME2, it will be a control endings instead of destroy. I don't know if this one still devastates the Earth or not, but apparently the lowest possible EMS destroy version does.
