I didn't come to save the Galaxy so that I would become a Reaper and quite possibly delay the inevitable, and I didn't really come to save the Galaxy so that a Pilot and a Robot can live in Holy Matrimony. Everyone depended on me to Destroy the Reapers, and that's what I did, whit high 6700 EMS.

Like I said a LONG Time Ago: The geth, especially Legion, was willing to sacrifice himself to stop the Reapers at all cost. Even Edi Mentioned something, when she was acknowledging the fact that she has Reaper Tech, that if meant that she would sacrifice herself to stop the Reapers, so be it, or something similar, idk. So there is NO Genocide. EVERYONE in the Galaxy knew the risks in this War, and that there would be sacrifices, yet they fought on. Everyone was willing to do whatever it takes to stop the Reapers and end this nightmare forever. And everyone counts on YOU to put an end to the Reapers (Except the Bad Guys), so who are you to argue against what people believe in?

Wow. Destroy needs a lot of support. Only 23 pages. Well we did what we had to. We completed our mission. My reasons were both "renegade" (the avatar of vengeance for those who died) and "paragon" (defender of my children), and I wasn't going to buy into that reaper propaganda.

That's an easy one.

The Control/Synthesis endings are generally unpopular on this forum, so they have a separate thread where other like-minded people discuss those endings.

Destroy is preferred by a lot more people, so there is no need for a "Destroy" sanctuary.

I always pick destroy it's what we have been trying to do since game 1
the reapers crimes are so innumerable that it's best for them to be destroyed

From a roleplaying perspective, my Shepard would only pick destroy. She would not trust her own moral character enough to pick control and would not pick synthesis because of the consent issues and not knowing how it works. Refuse would be abandoning the mission she was entrusted with by the peoples of the galaxy.

From a meta-gaming perspective, I wanted my Shepard to live. She worked and sacrificed and fought her ass off for years, died and returned, just to die because Starbrat said she needed to? Shepard deserves a chance at a happy ending and all those little blue children.

"They destroy us, or we force them to destroy themselves, at the cost of some of us" - that is how I see it. Geth do/don't have a soul just like everyone else, but still X + G > G, soul or no soul.

It's about the Krogan,Salarians,Turians and even the Geth.

All life has the right to choose it's path and I believe Destroy gives that option. I won't enact Synthesis and make a judgement based on my views of expansion. Not will I allow a dictator, even a benevolent one, to hold power. I see no other choice. Refuse was never on the table. Surviving is just as much a blessing as it is a curse.

I've been going over The Final Cut again, it's arguably not a Pink Floyd album, it's a Roger Waters one, but it's interesting nonetheless.

War is going to come, whether you like it or not, however the difference is taking responsibility, and Waters addresses this. You won't see the faces or hear the voices of the people you kill, but you know what you've done.

That's what separates the other endings from Destroy.
