Well normally I am playing as a GE so my first thought it "How the f**k did a squishy GE with no shield/health upgrades outlive all of you dumbasses?" Then my next thought is... "Oh ****, here they come. **** f**k **** f**k **** f**k"
At that point I try and make sure all of the enemies are grouped together so that I can keep them chain-overloaded together and stunned while I try to GPS blast their asses away. Then I laugh maniacally when I finish the wave and say that everyone else sucks.
On the other hand, when I was doing a quick run as a Salarian Engineer on FBWGG because I realized I'm out of medi-gel, the GI/E and two BS were not very good at FBWGG...and they all died. This led to me trying to take out three hunters, prime, two flamers, and various troopers while all I had was a Scorpion 3 (it was after this game that I decided to always carry a spare SMG no matter what, unless I want to carry two heavy weapons).
In this scenario, I just started to spam energy-drain to keep myself alive, dropped decoys to draw all of the enemies to one spot, and then unloaded the scorpion at their feet.
The second time that everyone else died and I was alone, I ran around a corner and got face-shot by a rocket-launcher, and before I should energy-drain I got shot in the back by a prime and died.

Since I always play an Adept I usually am not the last one standing but when it does happen I try to do the best I can. Mostly attempt to stay in cover as much as I can and try to not get overrun or flanked. If I am on my game and it isn't too early into a wave I can pull it out. My biggest problem is trying to do too much and get stuck in a wall or in and out of cover. I would probably say at least 50% of the time I will die from something that was hiding around a corner.

Once I tried to cloak and ended up doing a heavy melee right in front of an atlas.
He grabbed me.
Everyone laughed

It honestly depends on my mood and if I'm pissed off only Wave 10 on Gold could prevent me from not staying put on the ground. If I'm cool and calm though the money compels me to clutch unless the opportunity for lulz is epic in scale.

Happened to me alot of times, but I only really remember one.
Batarian soldier with kishock, beginning of the wave, 3 insta kills.
I soloed the whole wave picking calmly all the enemies with my inferno grenades, while running all around the map to kite the 2 banshees.
Finally, after 5 minutes, I manage to get the 2 banshees the only left, I kill one thanks to my kishock and grenades, and then, I face the last one.
I keep my distances, spamming her, taking her health down slowly but surely.
Then, one armor bar left, one last ballistic blades shot and it would have been over.
...
Ballistic blades fire blank, lag, instagrab before the banshees even teleported to me, instadeath.
I exactly had this reaction:
