Because sure, it wasn't a perfect game, but it was a hell of a lot better off story-wise than the last two.

I didn't enjoy ME3 as much as those. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but there were a lot of things that could've been better. Not sure who to blame, but let's just say Bioware has been hanging out with the wrong crowd (EA).
EDIT: KotOR is my favorite overall.

2- mass effect
3- dragon age
4- mass effect 2
5- mass effect 3 (if they can implement war assets better to the priority earth then it would be tied for third.
Honorable mention dragon age 2. Never played baldur gate, neverwinter nights or jade empire.

Note - just because ME3 ranks higher than DA2 doesn't necessarily mean that I was more disappointed with DA2 than I was with ME3, quite the opposite. ME3 is the fundamentally better game (imo), but both suffer from serious design flaws such as lack of character control compared to previous games, player choices made irrelevant, major emphasis on improving gameplay at the expense of a quality narrative, rushed final acts, bizarre endings, ect..

Thank you for sharing.I...I don't understand how that's possible.
It's not as strange as you might think. Especially at release, Jade Empire was really considered the black sheep of the Bioware RPGs. It had that same narrative/dialogue focus, but the action-RPG gameplay was so odd compared to their other stuff. But then, so was MDK2/Shattered Steel.

I will say the combat/environments are pretty good in ME3. Just be nice if Thermal Clips weren't involved and that Liara (and Javik?) could actually were a freaking helmet. Funny enough I've always been told how overheating weapons couldn't work...
That said I really do not care for the simplification of the dialogue system. While it doesn't ruin the game it does noticeably diminish player choice in"roleplaying" and makes replay value pretty minimal. It also doesn't help many of your decisions are canonized as well. I honestly don't see any point in even replaying ME1 or ME2 since it won't change much of anything. Also it got kind of obvious the writers were basically just killing off characters to make things convenient. If they were trying to be dramatic it was awfully ham-fisted. There's also a disturbing number of conversation glitches that just any wreck immersion as well. Then you got all the lame fetch quests that make up a good third of the game with Cmdr. Creeper. And finally there's the ending which basically just pulls the plug on the Mass Effect Universe. So yeah... very glad I passed on the Collectors Edition this time.

Im not a big fan of ME 2 for 2 big reasons:
-The lack of wrex hurts me- after being my super bro and going with him in almost every playthrough i was broken when i found out he wasn't a squadmember.
-They deviated from the enigmatic, mystic and alien feeling of the first one along with the rpg elements. Many people see it as the best one, i don't.

Haven't played The Old Republic because I find making an installment of a great single player franchise into a MMO repulsive and I never played any of the Neverwinter games.
Any hate you have to throw at me for my list can be directed to that imaginary wall beside you.
