I have customized the original module_core script and exported it. It contains some logwrites to check everything.

When placing it in the core/override/ directory, the logs are written in the logfile. When using it from my mod directory addins/my_mod/core/override/ the logs suddenly stop to work.

What gives?

Anyone? Is this the way it's supposed to be, or am I missing something here?

Dunno. However I just had to build my end-player package with stuff in the "main" core override (My Docs / Bioware / DA / Packages / Core / Override ) because the game wasn't overriding the UTI resources (some slighly modded OC reagents) when left in the addins / blablabla / core / override folder.

So... My guess is this may well be the way it's supposed to be, yeah. Don't quote me on this, tho.

If it's still owned by Core Game Resources, it has to go in the packages\\core\\override, as far as I can tell; you may be able to alter the ownership and be able to have it work from the addin location. This may also be the issue that Phaenan is running into.

I tried changing the ownership. Now, when exporting, module_core ends up in the Addins directory, but it still doesn't work. I have to move it back to the override directory for the changes to take effect?

Yes, but there is more.
I don't know how, so I blame blindly the DAUpdater, but the game did not take into consideration the ERF containing the OC modified resource in the end-player DAZip package. The ERF package was indeed placed into the / Packages / Core yada yada / Override  / MyModuleTag but that's it : it was ignored. And I looked like an idiot shipping an addon release with crucial updated items being completely... well, unchanged. (worst, it's my fault for not installing my own end-player packages and trusting the "exported" version of my addon. Damn, I can't even throw the blame on somebody else >.>)

According to DAModder website it is indeed the DAUpdater app' being unable (or reluctant ?) to properly push ERF into the Packages dir. And if it's true, well, that's a hell of a flaw.

So, as for myself, I will definitely steer clear of any OC resource modification now...
