phantoms amazing reaction speed and their magical flipping damage resistance is....stupid

reapers are definitely the easiest faction. hunters and phantoms make the other factions way more difficult. phantoms are a threat at any range. im ok with that. they turn invisible. im ok with that. they go into god mode by changing the color of their hands.....i guess im ok with that. the only thing that i hate is that they constantly flip and my saber is doing jack crap to them bc they have so much damage resistance. i headshotted them and i think i did less than half a bar bc he was able to see the bullet coming and flip through the air in .0000001 seconds....ridiculous

dont leave me tips unless you are a gold only player. has anyone noticed how they go flipso against certain weapons more?? ive never had a problem with a phantom flipping against a widow or kishok

this is GOLD only. dont comment if you dont only play gold please.

Ballistic Blades for the stagger, and Batarian Heavy Melee for the finish. Head explodes. Satisfaction. :devil: I once even had the satisifaction of watching one's head explode AND see its corpse rag doll across the map. <3

I agree that Reapers are the easiest, but nerf phantoms in any way and Cerberus becomes a joke. Plus, there's dozens of ways to deal with phantoms quickly and effectively with multiple classes/weapons.

Fact is the Phantom is a OP unit.  Probably the strongest unit in game.  After that Geth is pretty ****ing stupid too.  No way to OHK?  Okay lets give them STUNLOCK!@!

Predictable for you. For 99% of people who play they are not, and can be quite intimidating for some.

So instead of just saying so and leaving behind nothing of value, maybe, I dunno, you could maybe share some tips with the OP to help him out? Now there's a novel idea. Actually helping someone less experienced. Try it. It won't hurt, I promise.

In addition to the AA, a competent Infiltrator should be able to make short work of Phantoms as well. I can't confirm, but I've heard Vanguards are good against them as well.

If you're not one of those classes and don't have one of those classes in your group, then yes they can be more of a challenge. I'm sorry if your favorite class doesn't mow its way through every single unit in the game...

The only class i have trouble w/ phantoms on is my SI....and that's only because I struggle to get good sniper shots off against their speed.

Phantoms are easy to stun lock, and most good class builds have a reasonable counter against them, and some are able to completely lock them down.

Phantos are a pain for certain classes if you're not carrying a falcon or GPS. The other day I tried a drell adept versus cerberus without a stagger weapon, result: phantom stands in the middle of 6 cluster grenade shrapnels with her hand barrier and takes literally no damage, retarded.

exactly their damage resistance is rediculous. i continously land shots with a saber and try to shoot in between flips too but their flipping is constant

May I suggest not using your grenades when she has her shield up? =p
Keep reave on her...wait for her barirers to drop and when she retreats / cloak to cover....then burn your clusters.

ummm no. ive been instakilled in the middle of melees against phantoms with several classes. im not gonna punch em in the face with the slowest melee in the game and the ballistic blades dont always stagger

i did that once but the Phantom insta-killed me at the part were her head was supposed to explode.

I know that, she didn't have it up before I threw it, however once I did she put it up and ate all 6 shrapnels like it was nothing. I just mentioned it as an example of how ridiculous their damage resistance is.

Phantoms are a major pain without some sort of overload, stasis, tacitcal cloak or shotty/sniper or stagger weapon. They are easy if you have one of these though as they allow you to get past their damage resistance without too much trouble.

it doesnt make a difference when you use the grenades if she uses her blue hand power. you hit her with powers until she puts the blue hand up then you attack after it goes down

Yeah... that's not true at all. Nerfing Phantoms will not make Cerberus a joke. Phantoms are the most overpowered enemy in the game. They are ridiculously stupidly powerful.

And I don't give a sh** what anyone says. They need a nerf.

Are you as experienced as Mozts with phantoms?   Or are you of lesser experience?

Figured he supposedly is so good with them he could give ya some advice on what his methods are.

i think the flip is the only thing that needs to be nerfed. i hate when my shots are landing and not doing any damage. what do you think should be nerfed?

soliders.....consive shot dose wonders on them it rip away there barriers sec consive shot knocks them down /out empty clip on the or more CS for the win...... adepts.... stasis non sniper rifle headshot and BE...... inflltrator.....headshot form across map if possable try to stay at range on them ..... engineer.... overload overload stun head shot...... sentinal..... TE/BE and kite for others to kill .... vangaurds.... havent met or created one yet that just doesnt eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner ...... human.. charge nova..... charge....nova dead..... others deal differntly but charge is still a factor unless on gold but charge/heavy melee and charge/ shotgun to the face most times= dead but tthose are my tacts i use im sure others can and will say differntly but..... to each there own

I think two things need to be nerfed.

1) Get rid of flippy-doo damage resistance... it's stupid.
2) I think that their hand cannon range needs to be less. They can two shot people on Gold from across a map. That is also... frickin stupid.
