That's something a Bronze/Silver player would say.
Try playing on Gold with something besides an Asari Adept with Stasis.

You're doing it wrong. Phantom is the most predictable unit in the game.
I can kill them with one Paladin clip and some kicks from my Drell.
Predictable for you. For 99% of people who play they are not, and can be quite intimidating for some.
So instead of just saying so and leaving behind nothing of value, maybe, I dunno, you could maybe share some tips with the OP to help him out? Now there's a novel idea. Actually helping someone less experienced. Try it. It won't hurt, I promise.
Are you as experienced as Mozts with phantoms? Or are you of lesser experience?
Figured he supposedly is so good with them he could give ya some advice on what his methods are.
Manifests? What the **** are you talking about dude. For chrissakes, you're ****ing about how hard it is to kill Phantoms. That other guy mocked you for it claiming he was so good with them. I urged him to actually maybe impart his wisdom to you which might actually be helpful.
And now you're babbling about manifests and god knows what. Are you lost?

it doesnt make a difference when you use the grenades if she uses her blue hand power. you hit her with powers until she puts the blue hand up then you attack after it goes down
Her damage shield is the only time she's stationary, it's easy to notice this and not waste grenades.
If she's at full barriers in attack mode...she will fip when under attack, or an ability with a travel time is cast at her. When this happens try to shoot where she's going to be, not where she actually is so that you can keep damage uptime after she's done dodging.
If she's at no barriers she'll cloak and retreat...if you have an ability with a damage over time effect, this is the time to ensure that it's on...If you don't try to track her cloak distortion and kill her before she regenerates barriers.
Those are the best generic tips I can give, agian, Phantoms are a complex enemy...but by no means the most threatening or OP.

a manifest includes all the weapons and what level they are that a player owns. you can go to their profile, click on games, then go to manifest. its an effective way to guage a players experienceIAMREALITY wrote...

Awfully presumptious arent you?
I play frequently play Gold matches, and I almost never play with Adepts.
What I do is to actually make sure I have a good full-auto close range weapon to deal with them, and its the responsibility of the player to make sure he/she is equipped to deal with whatever adversaries he/she might face.

I left more value than you, dickwad. Drell light melee stunlocks phantom and yes, they are the most predictable unit in this game. They always move towards the player in straight line, always try to dodge warps, always take cover after losing the barrier, always cloak while in cover, always melee before inst-kill(not necessarily their target).
Hunters flank players, stunlock and are invisible most of the time. Banshee teleports like crazy and insta-kill randomly.
And since we're on the matter, Phantoms have less life than any other boss units, around 4000 hitpoints. Hunters have more, marauders have about the same.
This is a forum, you can just ask instead of being an ****.

i hate the flips because they are unpredictable and constant. every saber shot literally makes her flip. never have that problem with a widowA Wild Snorlax wrote...
I don't know why you guys are complaining about the flips though, the ''talk to the hand'' barier is a lot worse in my opinion. When that thing is up you can hit her with a widow headshot and still do minimal damage. + She can use that barrier while moving around, which is annoying as hell unless you have some way to stagger her or strip her barrier.

Oh yes because the manifest soooo shows the amount of games played, time played and what type of matches have been played.... oh wait.
The only thing my non-maxed out weapons means is that I play to enjoy myself, I don't farm geth on Firebase white 24/7 like some do.

I love Ceberus when playing a GPS yielding Geth infiltrator. Phantom hunting is his favorite pastime. I think for each class ther is a counter for phantom, especially since we are supposed to work as a team.
Every class can own phantoms if they use a GPS because it staggers and makes them drop their hand barrier.
Kind of stupid that certain classes HAVE to use a GPS or falcon to deal with them though.
Try playing a quarian engineer with a paladin or something vs cerberus on gold. Phanroms will be a gigantic pain to deal with as you can land repeated headshots without doing any damage because of all their DR bs.

i think most classes arent effective against phantoms. the gps is a very effective weapon but i dont want to carry around a gps or scorpion into all my matches to kill phantomswngmv wrote...

I find a Kroguard is fun to smash them with, that and Batarian soldiers. I've never had problems with Ballistic Blades against them. Of course, that's on Silver. I've only ever used my GI and my Asaris on them while doing Gold. Not sure how a Biotic Charge + Heavy Melee would stack up against them on Gold. Might need to hit them twice to take them down.
All krogans can destroy phantoms, even on gold...It may take a few heavy melees, but they still never have time to get off a melee, much less an insta-kill.

Phantoms are perfectly fine on gold. Asari justicars eat them for breakfast, krogans love them, batarians destroy them with falcon punch etc.
If I had dollar every time people say "nerf phantom", I will be a millonaire.

It's probably just my bias for the Kroguard over the other two Krogan classes. I find it much more...easy, I suppose, to flail my shotgun around when I have the option to instantly refill my shields every 2 or 3 seconds.

Krogan soldier specced for max melee is amazing vs phantoms, even on gold
Also with rage, max melee specc and martial artist + fortification purged I think you can pretty much one shot them, or at least very close to doing so.
