After downloading and installing the Resurgence pack my game refuses to go past the menu screen. When I load it it seems to get stuck at the "checking downloadable content" part. It stays like this no matter how long I leave it, however, I can connect to EA servers but that is all.
When I uninstalled the Resurgence pack the game works fine. So i repeated the installation of the pack and it ran into the same problem.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Or has anyone else run into the same problem.

Do you have the disk or psn version? I haven't seen the problem, but just curious what version you have.

Yes, I have the same problem. i also disabled the auto connect option of the game. in order to preserve my war asset number without being obliged to play multi player each day. The freeze only happens when I launch the game after being connected to playstation network. I did try to connect to it through game menu but I think it might do the same. How do you proceed to unsintall resugence pack only and not the game at all?
