Which is going to screw over A LOT of people.

Trust me, the "Why didn't I get a Commendation pack" threads are coming. So brace yourselves.
These forums have taught me something about this community and the people here in general though.
Some of you must have miserable lives if all you can do is put people down and say things like, "Oh well, doesn't concern me I did my goal lol too bad so sad some suckers are mad hahaha."

The problem here was lack of communication. That is the problem.

That. Right there. It actually is a bit much to ask. There are a lot of holidays, and little authority on what differentiates a major one from a minor one. Memorial day is a major one for you. Plenty of Americans may disagree.

The 12 hour reduction, well, that might be a genuine problem. However, it's just 12 hours. It's meant to be a weekend event. People played, some people got packs.

There really is nothing to be even mildly miffed about.

The problem is always a lack of communication. 95% of what we hear from BioWare is forum mods sending people on vacation.

Hell, the main menu screen only seems to show GaW status instead of news.

How much longer will banshees be appearing in geth/cerb games?
I want to know if I have enough time to lvl up QI and hack a pyro or Cerb turret when a Banshee appears?
Still haven't really got around to levelling infiltrator class back up. Shoulda done before promoting infiltrators lol.

Got the notification when the event started, haven't recieved the notification that it's ended yet, so I guess there's still time?

Scheduling it on a holiday doesn't bother me. Shortening it by 12 hours and posting the times exclusively on the Bioware blog, that is a bit disappointing. I didn't read the blog. I read the announcment on the forum. There wasn't even a link to the blog, and there was no mention of the times. I assumed it would last as long as the others and made my plans accordingly.

You're right it's not worth getting upset over, and I doubt many people are genuinely angry. But I spent several hours grinding to get my 3rd character to level 20 when none of it mattered. It would have been nice if they could have empahsized the fact that this challenge ended Sunday afternoon instead of Monday morning. It's not so much about the commendation pack as it is my time.

It's a holiday for remembering our Armed Forces and their sacrifices, I'm pretty sure other countries have similar holidays. Oh, and BioWare is associated with EA... an American company, and BioWare has an office in America as well as many, many, many American employees.

Sorry, but this is not acceptable. And why was this weekend the only "short" weekend event. Most go until Monday morning, in fact many people are USED to these events going until Monday morning.

BioWare, I am officially disappointed in you. This IS NOT cool.

Do me a favour mate. Your using the holiday as an excuse to complain. Your basically implying that their disrespecting the honoured dead because they had a weekend event, its simple if you werent there to complete it, then you werent. Done, thats it. What the absolute #### does memorial have to do with when the damn challenge ended, you disgust me.

Why does everyone have to hate on Texas this guy Talon isnt even from Texas but because he is stationed here people automatically attack him. Well im from Texas and I got my commendation promoted a total of 5 and went from 500 to 565 so this Texan isnt so stupid. Death to stereotypers C#;

If they would consider evry possbile holliday in the entire world, then evry weekend event would have to be stoped. There are literly thousend of diferent hollidays out there. And most of them are a major event in some country.

This weekend was the deadline for all schoolwork at my school, today is the last day for the teachers to grade us.

Thus I've had no time to level three characters to lv 20 from scratch. Why did this Operation have to take place just now!?

I made it in time, I had 3 lined up anyway since I rarely promote. But if the event was shorter, yes, they should have either made it not shorter, or prominently told people about it.

It's not really a big deal at all.

1. The holiday technically isn't even till Monday.

2. This is pretty much the easiest event to complete.

3. Bioware doesn't owe anyone anything.

I was very unhappy with the Operation coming during Eurovision. I was forced to choose between spending time drinking with my friends and laughing at the absurd campness of it all, or leveling my characters.

People who care to push such issues on purely recreational matters, such as me3 mp, are usually the ones who did not stand close to the process of actual sacrifice, which this memory day commemorates, so actively opposing this thread is not hate, but rather an expression of free will and own experience to every single instance of mixing honor stuff with lawyer stuff - they really don't mix.
