Its not even been 3 months yet... and we are getting free single player DLC, I hear its going to "address our concerns" about the ending too...
It might even make them try harder with the rest of their singleplayer dlc...

I was very peeved by what I perceived to be the snarky closing comment of End of the Line by the mod. But, if that was intended to get us back on topic and back into our fervor, then well played sir. Well played.
I actually really like the IT, I just wish it had come from Bioware and not fans like us. (Yes, I have read what Bioware and the rEApers have said on the subject). I always played my Shepard as more flawed than others did perhaps and I can totally see them wearing her down over time and getting in her head/ under her skin.
I know some people have posted that if Bioware reversed their statements and went with IT, it would anger them a lot but I personally feel it would explain enough about the ending to pacify me (I acknowledge it brings its own holes etc).
I also disagree with people coming here and mocking us. I think the fact that we remain this passionate says as much good about the game and community as people think it says bad. I can't recally any other game where I have continued to care this much about the ending and heck, the game in general.

It's nice over there. You can spit on the mat and call a cat a rat.And I still HATE the ending, the Galaxy map was better in ME2,and having my Shepards wear brown. Also other smaller concerns.Kunari801 wrote...

Even if it's 3 years from now!
Especially if that EC Ending is nothing more than a deeper insight into something people
a) don't care about because they where satisfied with the ending from the beginning.

SWTOR is pretty good... But it has some issues... Like all the playable races are either human, or human-looking... Pretty much no aliens...Macro Dude wrote...
I still feel that even if they never use Shepard in in any further instalments of MassEffect, they shouldn't have just killed the character, out of hand. I might be in a minority here but I still would have liked to see a happier end for this fun character, that we, the players have been with for so long through the story. Saddly, they want to hang on to their "artistic vision" like a hungry dog with a raw steak. It's not this forum that is holding up singleplayer DLC. I'm sure they are trying to figure out what would be safe for them to release. I'm also sure someone over at BW / EA got screamed at, because the game is already losing money in the retail market. All due to the uproar created by that selfsame "artistic vision". The DLC still has to be paid for, and they are giving it to us free this summer. So that's more money they lose on this game. I know for a fact that unless they relent on their stand of refusal to give us better endings, I won't pay for anymore DLC for this game. I personally am still of the opinion that the DLC they plan on "giving" us this summer is damage control in an attempt to salvage their fan base. It still comes down to putting bandaids on bullit holes, as far as I'm concerned. I have also relented on my prior statement of never purchasing another title from this company. I'm an old school Starwars fan and SWKOTOR and SWOTR look like pretty cool games which I haven't tried yet. So I will probably drift away from this title, and chalk it up to another sad note in in gamming history.

In Star Wars the Old Republic there is actually a decent twist. And the branches in the storyline - while railroaded to the main plot - actually branch out and give you different endings. You dont just get a different explosion. Its a really good game. I highly reccomend it. You can get it for PC on steam for like 5$ or something.
The combat system is a bit outdated but the game is still solid.
Star Wars the Old Republic 2? Didnt like it personally..

Nah... Modding Mass Effect 3 could get you banned from MP... And in some cases, it can get you banned from Origin... So, no games for you.Macro Dude wrote...
BTW, just as a side note, we fans of the old Star Control 1 & 2 after 15 years are still waiting for a decient cannon sequal to Star Control 2. Star Control 3 was a horrible disapointment, a complete botch job. There is now a group of hard core fans who (after the code was released to open source) have taken it upon themselves to create a fan mod sequel that is closer to cannon than SC 3 could ever hope to be. It's a slow moving project, but it's unrelenting. Two demos of this mod have already been released and the fans of the game are wild for it. I know DA:O is highly modable, and I have had alot of fun replaying the game with many fan mods. There is also some fan mods that actually add new quests to the game. Too bad the ME games arn't as modable, or if they are, there isn't enough fan intrest in altering the game to suit us.

Anyway, I hope the DLC they release this summer to fill the plot holes is satisfying for all us dissapointed fans, because right now it feels like they gave 110% to the game until the ending, and then just gave up. I hate to say it again, but their "artistic vision" feels more like a shotgun blast to the gut. than anything else right now.

Aye... The MP is just infinite-horde-mode... MP could have been awesome if there were different game modes, like 4v4 versus matches between players... Escalation, you get 1 life, killing enemies award points that could be used to unlock new weapons, health, ammo and power-ups...Macro Dude wrote...
Well, I never wanted a MP for this game anyway. I tried it twice and it just left me cold. My intrest in the ME games was seeing this story through, If they wanted to add the MP to the game fine, but I don't think they shoud have tied it to the SP like they did. It all just feels so forced. To be honest, I have tried a number of FPS MP from different games and the MP for THIS game isn't as much fun. I would have been happier if they weren't trying to ride on the coat tails of other games which have had success with MP. BW / EA is (again in my opinion) much better suited to writing SP RPG's. Too bad they don't recognize that fact.
Something funny! Horde mode just gets old really fast... And they really should disconnect the MP from the SP... We were promised that it wouldnt affect SP, and yet it did! Alot of promises were made... Very few, if any were kept...
And I dont like it when people make promises that they cant keep.
