I'm glad to see people are wanting to see more body shapes for mages but disappointed in that they are going in the usual direction of buffness (the short time I tried WoW the fact that all the men looked like Conan even the mages annoyed the hell out of me).

What we need is the short, portly mage, the downy, plain looking Enchantress with a nose complex, the tower 'bike' who is well, um, endowed but is rather skanky looking (being easy doesn't make you good-looking), the skinny guy who looks like he hasn't been near a window in years let alone been outside, etc.

Clearly you have not played long enough to have encountered a Gnome.
You sir, have been lucky, do not tempt fate again..

A gnome?!  In DA:O?!  Never encountered one I believe, although that would explain the strange blood spatter on the underneath of my boot...

Well akshully..
I was referring to the I've played wow for a short time part :P

This one is spiffy too, though I don't understand the shoulder spikes on a non-tank:

Once again, I have no credit at all whatsoever for the creation of the wallpaper I cut this out from. This one I forget where I found it. (Common occurence for me. Posted Image)

Edit: Almost forgot, once again, sweet hair! Posted Image I wonder if a modder could duplicate it & Fereldenize it?

So, mages should look like ridiculous Disney stereotypes, then?

What if a mage of the Circle Tower wants to go to LA Fitness to work on his build? He doesn't have to be effeminate.

She's really sexy, but why on earth would she be tossing fireballs, calling lightning storms and forming blizzards out of thin air in her panties and corset?

Im sorry but compared to the artwork and history of the game Myth 1,2 and 3 they are a joke.

Here are some pictures of some of the characters in the myth world.

classic illistration of a shade in myth 2. These foes can not cross water and are undead and can cast dream dispersal to obliterate large amounts of attackers.

these are just the spellcasters, but this game is by far the best exsample of what real wizards and spellcasters should look like.

So have you met any real wizards or spell casters?

How exactly would you know what they look like?

Who knows maybe they just want to oppose the stereotype you’re trying to impose on them and they work out?

Considering mages spend their time locked up in a tower constantly living in fear of the templars, and focusing their time to studying the should actually look like pale skinny people who are almost always buried in a book.

P.S. If theres one thing to chage about the mage's looks it's the damn robes and hats they look ridicoulous.

I kept expecting the mages in my party to refer to me as an earthling, eat 50 lbs. of meat, and call themselves "parental units".

The Final Fantasy mage look would not mesh well. The caster type equipment in game is more along the lines of shamanistic, witch, or generic embroidered cloth robes. Fereleden is the cold barbaric dirt hole of the Thedas even their oddly slightly more pampered yet abhorred mages reflect this.

Besides I like more practical looking equipment.

Though I agree, different body type (like skinny frame for my caster male) would be a good thing. And there are sooooo many recolors. And far too many fur shoulders. I found myself envious of the arcane horror robes as well.

Not sure if the Image copied but this is how I wanted my mage to look, or at least similar.

Something on my security settings won't let me copy the pic, anyways heres the link.
