I just pulled three N7 cards out of about 5 PSPs I've opened this weekend. I'll have another one coming with the commendation pack for promoting. Am I crazy lucky this weekend or has the drop rate for N7s been increased?

No, and if you understood random numbers at all you'd realize how silly that question is. You can't draw any conclusions out of such an incredibly small sample size. Go make a thread when you've opened 1000 PSPs and end up with a number different than 10%.

It's random, so sometimes you'll get nothing for a while and sometimes you'll get a lot more than you're used to.

I'm up to 10 URs out of my last 30 PSPs, and a friend is upto 8 out of his last 15. Doesn't necessarily mean it's not just random, but I am skeptical considering we both went on long dry streaks prior to this.

only the drop rate for Scorpion has been increased, I got 3 during this weekend. Probably will get another 7 before I finally manage to find out what to do with this gun ...

Honestly, as has been said already: Random is Random. It also means, that your previous roll does not effect the next one. To give you an example of this: The probably to roll 10 6's in a row with a six sided dice is roughly 0,000002%. The probability to roll a 6 after a row of 9 6's already rolled is still 16.6% just like for the first 6.
Tl, Dr: The probability to get an UR out of pack is always the same, no matter how many UR's you pulled out of the packs before that. The opposite statement is also true: The probability of not getting an UR stays the same, no matter how long your streak of empty packs already is.

Uhh yea, thanks for the intro to Statistics 101 guys, but all I asked was if Bioware had upped the drop rate for N7s while I was away on my Diablo3 vacation

Kacynski, regarding the scorpion, it works fabulously on the geth engineer. I'll usually make about 150,000 points on gold with those two. You can stagger-lock phantoms with it and if you camp chokes you can destroy entire groups with only a few trigger pulls. Throw an ammo power on it and you can have Tech Explosions all over too.

Statistically more chance than specs, though in one patch i'm sure they upped the chances 'slightly'... before making specs cheaper.

Awesome week for me for Ultra-rares, just pulled two black cards out of a PSP... Paladin I and Talon III! Pulled a Crusader out of my Commendation pack (was hoping for a Hurricane II), I'll probably get another Eagle next time though

Has anyone managed a triple ultra-rare drop out of one pack yet?

There was a thread a while back of a CS person supposedly claiming that the spectre packs were 'broken'. I've noticed an increase in Ultra Rares out of the packs I've been pulling lately, as well. If we are to believe that the CS person actually knows what they're talking out, it's entirely possible that the 'higher chance' part of the Premium Spectre Packs wasn't working properly before, but now is. Purely conjecture, though.

...Of which only the Paladin and Javelin qualify as "ultra-rare".

Only slots 4 and 5 in the PSP can actually get a UR. No threefers.

Seems to be 5% for slot 5 in the SP, and 5% for each slot 4 and 5 in PSP.
