I love the art style and the fast pace ot this game. Just wish the enviroments weren't overused.
Compared to ME3, it doesn't seem "that" disasterous - then again, I'm yet to finish the game and I guess that is the crux of it :S
Still, I have hope for this team at BioWare, that is if ME3 is patched up, might not be buying EA anymore :S
But yeah, the actual graphical upgrade is really nice, even if the assets are WAY overused.
I also love the speed of the combat, Origins had very slow combat that didn't feel very weighted.
I really love the art style and the fast pace, hope they keep it.

Agree. Re-used environments, scary eye make-up and endless inventory junk/generic accessories were my only real quibbles.
And I really liked the ending. Just sorry we never got our DLC.

The scary makeup is the worst. Seriously. Where'd they get lime green sparkle paint to smear around their eyes? And bright blue lipstick? You could make a Lady Gaga Hawke -- and some people have.
I am sad about the cancelled expansion pack. As much as the vast majority hated DA2, I think the expansion pack would have smoothed over some rough edges and called a few fans back.
The fighting in Origins was pretty fun. I mean, you got to shuffle around with your legs really far apart and maybe take a stab at something every two-and-a-half minutes. Although, from a strategy standpoint, the combat in DA:O was better. But the combat in DA2 is more fun, even if it is ridiculously over-exaggerated.

I think the art style was way too cartoony anc clean. It wasnt bad but i really do not think it suited the game. The combat was a lot of fun especially the mage and they made using a bow a lot more fun but at the same time it was more hack/slash than tatical.

In DA2 they actually made the ranged classes entertaining to play, even if the action did get a bit over the top. But i did love backstabbing and watching my foe explode into blood n guts. Come to think of it Me3 did something similar with the bloody headshots

I liked the art style and hope in the next game they take the concept even further.

You've created at least 2-3 threads of this exact topic already before.
To answer the topic, again, I'll say I thought the gameplay was okay though I preferred Origins. As for the art style it was awful. Though what I hated about the visuals of the game probably had more to do with the limitations of the engine than anything. Not that it excuses it though.

1: "Graphical upgrade" ? Game sequels usually see some efforts to upgrade graphics. I don't think one has to ask for it. And I'm actually wary of doing it, for something that is supposed to run on the same hardware. Because the cost can be something else.
DA2 got it, of sorts. But at the same time the looks were destroyed by a juvenile, uncohesive and in parts cartoonish art style, that really doesn't seem to be much in demand by the market. Look at the failure of other, otherwise fine, games with looks in a similar vein, (KoA for instance).
2: So you haven't finished DA2?
3: Yet you care so much for this art style, that was and is such a great part of why people dislike DA2, that you keep making threads about this? Why? What about it is so important to you? Why is it important to you?
4: Don't you care about the survival and health of the Dragon Age franchise? Or Bioware?
