When do you think we'll next hear something official?

Parly because I am excited it could have something to do with a "twist" (be it I.T. or something else).
However, I am excited period, because it's kind of like waiting for a christmas present you're not sure you're gonna get. Maybe mom and dad have just got me clothes? or maybe a N64 - We'll see!!!!!
Lol, seriously though, when do you think we'll next hear something regarding singleplayer?

I wouldlike to hear also but , I think we will not till after comic-con, in san diego the weekend of july 22,23,24. Do not get your hopes about the EC, because from rumor control its just going to be parts that were left out.
Where's this coming from?
If it is just a few extra cut scenes, that will be awful.

I don't think there will be any info about EC other than a release date. We already know what it will be (cutscenes and more dialog).

My body is ready, as Reggie Fils Aime says.

i dont get the whole point of the EC DLC..Isnt there a rule in writing where if you need to TELL your audience whats going on, its bad writing?
Yup.
It's called Show don't tell, ME3 didn't play this rule very well.

What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey.
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.
Sorry. I feel your pain.

I just hope they didn't do such a poor job I'll give up on SP completely.
At least playing MP allows me to forget the way SP ended and allows me to somewhat create my own story.

One of the most important lessons I have learned in my life is a simple mathematical formula:
Happiness = Reality - Expectations
If you want to be happy with something, don't make your expectations higher than the reality or you end up with a negative number. This sounds odd to express emotions in mathematics, but I tell you it works 100% of the time.
Its far better to be pleasantly surprised when a game is truly great when you didn't expect much in the first place, than to feel betrayed and distraught when a game you believed would be stellar doesn't live up to the hype.
This goes for the EC as well.

Having your hopes crushed a second time is worst. Just lower your expectations and maybe EC won't be as bad as it sounds.StElmo wrote...

players do not want EC to be bad, EC is going to be bad because it won't change or add a new end, it just add more cut scenes to the horrible endings.

Ending isn't that bad. Just wasn't explained very well. That's what the EC is going to do. Did you know they've had this same ending since around November last year? I don't know when they wrote it, but this is what they were going for from the start.
There's a lot more to the ending than everyone realizes. I watched this 90 minute video a few days ago and the amount of little details put into the last 20 minutes of the game is actually quite astonishing. Kind of puts aside the feeling that the ending was rushed.

Nope.
The ending is what it is. There is no deep meaning, there are no mind games, THERE IS NO INDOCTRINATION!

Another nail in the coffin. And it proves, once more, that the PR department is still running the show.
Yes, we are listening...

Maybe you're not looking hard enough. I actually found something in that ending that explains some things about the synthesis ending using a math equation and cathode ray tubes.
A lot of people don't want to put any serious thought into it. That's what their plan was. It wasn't to have some spoon fed ending for the masses. Okay, so some don't believe Shepard was indoctrinated and that's fine. However, it was clear that they didn't want to tell you everything about the ending. Their plan was to explain some things (extended cut), but leave some open to interpretation so you could figure it out on your own.
